It was crazy hectic, but it is done and they look great! I wish they were slightly lighter and less red, but it is so hard to tell what old wood floors will do. I busted my butt the past 2 days, cleaning, more cleaning, moving furniture, etc. to get it all done before my DH & DDs came home last night. There is still a ton of dust upstairs in the hallway. Ugh.
Here is a little before/after: the stairs are done, and the painted upstairs hallway is in phase 2 (will do in June).

grate detail. I had to take these all off, haul them to the car wash (they are heavy!), spray them off in 35 degree weather, spray paint, haul to heated basement to dry, then back upstairs to install. Exhausting, but they look great!: (and now we need to clean our wall woodwork all over again. It looks a lot better than in this weird photo)
Gorgeous! Did you DIY it? I want to redo our floors upstairs one day but the thought of moving everything up there....ugh.
No, we had it done. I don't have the energy to DIY floors! We did decide to do it in phase to avoid having to move completely out of the house. So this phase we did the stairs, all downstairs (moved everything into the kitchen which has (real) linoleum), and we did my DD2's room upstairs. So in June, we will do the upstairs hallway and the 3 other bedrooms moving everything into DD2's already done room!
