1. I was all excited to run 6 this morning, and then both my children woke up at 4:30 and were psycho so there went my run I have SO MUCH SHIT to do today that I really don't see how I'll be able to do it later.
2. We bought a house this weekend! The market here is CRAZY. It went on the market 2 PM Wednesday, we saw it at 6 PM that night and immediately made an offer, and it had 4 other offers on it within 24 hours. We found out ours was accepted Friday, and our inspection is this week. ALL FINGERS CROSSED.
Today is one of those days where I don't want to talk to anyone. Two cups of coffee has not fixed that issue. One of my coworkers has called me a few times and I cannot muster the energy to talk to her. She is so long-winded. I can't.
I am trying to decide if I should purchase a team cycling jersey for the century I'm doing in April. I still feel like a complete impostor.
My right hip is tight. It is tingly and annoying. Suggestions welcome.
I'd ask myself: 1. Is it a cute/nice design? Would I wear it again? (If yes, buy. If no on all counts, skip.) 2. Do I care if I match the other team members? (If no, skip. If yes, buy.) 3. Is it more expensive than I'm willing to pay? 4. Does it have a date on it like "Eat.All.the.Donuts.Ride 2017"? (I usually skip any jerseys with dates on them.) 5. Do I need another jersey? (irrelevant question--you always need another jersey ).
I'm totally feeling the hill repeats from yesterday. Holy moly. My legs feel like I ran a race. Hopefully it pays off. I'm feeling better lately about what I might do in the half. Not sure if a PR is possible, but I will at least try for one.

I have a cw who I'm actually kind of friends with that is so incredibly long-winded. She'll call me at lunch (I swear she knows when I have hot food) so I've started just ignoring her calls so I can eat my food. I can commiserate.
I am more sore today from my 5 mile blustery bike ride yesterday than I was yesterday after my 9 mile run Saturday. Because of said soreness, I'm arguing with myself about joining CWers for our afternoon stair session.
My H and I are going to Mexico later this week for a long weekend trip, and it can't come soon enough. All I want to do is relax and drink margaritas and eat good food. And get away from here.
Congrats chw57!! That's a lot to happen within a couple of days but very exciting!
My random is that I SUCK at crosstraining when I'm on rest from running. Hi Labbie, 'no running' does not equal 'sit on your butt feeling sorry yourself. How 'bout yoga, how 'bout strength? C'mon pouty- get out there and DO it." I need a butt-kicking.
chw57 - that is exactly how my morning went. I thought I could get a short run in this morning and instead DS was up at 4:30 ready to play and be crazy. I did a 15 minute run after daycare drop off. I can't imagine that level of craziness for house buying. Hope it all turns out great!
My random: I am getting a cold again. Ug. No voice this morning and I'm just so tired of being sick. At least it is a nice day out for February. Still and above freezing. My DS is 11 months old today. He doesn't really walk yet but has taken 1 step a few times. Happy tear.
My knee has been hurting me since my marathon in November. I'm beginning to worry that it's not my normal IT Band aches and could be something more serious. Usually rest has helped in the past. I got pregnant the weekend of that marathon, so I've naturally WAY reduced my volume and have done more XTing. It hurts after I finish every run. =(

I'm sitting at the hospital waiting on an appointment and I can't help but wonder why their bathrooms smell like cinnamon. I've never been to a hospital whose bathrooms smell like anything, but these are decisively cinnamon-y.
Also the parking situation here is an absolute disaster. OMG, it took me 20 minutes to find a space.
Did you guys see Bob Harper (the trainer from Biggest Loser) had a big heart attack a couple of weeks ago? Crazy - he's only 51 and seemingly works out all the time.

My random...It feels like I bruised the bottom of my left foot. When I am walking and I roll off the ball of my foot it hurts. It didn't hurt to run at lunch, but walking is killing me. What is wrong with my foot?

Found this beauty on my run today! Had to carry him for 4+ miles, so I hope my son likes him. When I got back to my office, someone who works across campus called me and asked if I was carrying a plastic snake on my run today! I just laughed and told him he was seeing things.

Im hoping yoga tomorrow will help me with my creakiness I've been having lately since I haven't been in 3 weeks. I did a few short videos but it's not the same.
I've been doing pretty well at PT, so I asked him if I could try the Kickboxing class at my son's dojo. He said it was OK, but take it slow. Tonight was my first night - was so awesome! The first half is traditional kickboxing moves, but the second half we put on gloves and used bags. I had to modify at times, but nothing hurt and I loved feeling like I got a real workout again. This is the perfect time - my super busy time at work starts this week, and I will need to vent somehow!
I finally got to PT for my knee! Everything the guy said made total sense, and the exercises he had me doing made things sore in my hips and glutes that I've never felt working before in my life. I said that out loud and he just stared at me for a second waiting for the other shoe to drop.
OH RIGHT. THAT'S THE WHOLE PROBLEM. got it...
It makes me happy that this feels like it'll actually be productive. He was able to answer all of my questions with answers that actually make sense to me mechanically, which is so refreshing compared to 90% of my experiences with medical professionals. Also man, my butt is sore. I've got two 7 AM appts a week set for the next 3 weeks, and I'm allowed to run as much as I see fit as long as I do my prescribed stretches beforehand and ice afterward. IT'S ON BITCHES!
I just re-read my post that I wrote an hour or so ago and got positively giddy. i think I was bottling up a lot more stress about this than I realized because I feel all bubbly right now thinking that it's all gonna be just fine and I am not causing damage if I keep on running.

I'm so glad you finally got your knee checked out wawa. I was just thinking about you the other day and meant to ask how you were feeling. I really hope PT helps!
