I've been having lots of pain today, the Dr explained that they cut out several specimens and had to put lots of stitches inside me.
Also they are calling this chemo "shake and bake" because once they had my belly open, they put in hot chemo drugs and literally shake my body to distribute the medication. Thankfully, I was not awake for that.
I can't really get any rest, you know how it is. I've only managed to have a few chunks of watermelon and a couple of blueberries because I just don't feel like eating even though I haven't eaten since Thursday night.
Overall, I feel like hammered shit but they're going to try some different meds for pain management.
Getting in and out of bed is excruciating, so while I want to go home, the ideas of navigating the airport and riding on a plane in a few days doesn't sound like fun

Tell her to brace her stomach with a pillow, raise the head of the bed all the way up, roll to her side and then have the nurse help her sit up. It will help with the pain getting out of bed. I'm so sorry she's hurting so much. Praying for you His!
This reminds me of what my aunt had during her cancer surgery. Thinking of you, brace yourself with a pillow by your belly and don't hesitate to ask for the good pain meds.
Praying for you His!!! Take it easy when you move and rest a lot. It will help you get stronger. Eat when you are told-you may not want to, but they know you need to!!
Ugh - both of my parents had to have the shake 'n' bake and they BOTH said it was awful - you're so sore afterward. Love to you, His - it will get better every day. Don't freak yourself out about how you're going to feel "a few days from now" - just get rest and take your meds and heal in the moment. (((hugs)))
