I am hoping to go for the first time this year and am looking at options for lodging + trying to talk H into going! There is enough other stuff in the general area that he WOULD enjoy, I am hoping we can extend our stay a little bit to visit. 

What should I expect at the S&W fest? I found a group on Ravelry, but it is SO.OVERWHELMING.

No, not making it this year. Ended up not having enough days left because MIL had some medical issues I needed to take off and drive get to doctors for. I'll be going next year hopefully.
