I'm stuck in all-day meetings this week, and as I spent much of this morning's session wishing for a decent cup of coffee, I thought I'd ask you all to weigh in on our (anticipated) much-needed new coffeemaker purchase.
Ideally, we'd find one that would brew right into travel mugs, either both at one time or in rapid succession. We don't drink the same kind of coffee (S drinks decaf, I drink caf), so it doesn't usually make sense for us to make a whole pot. I'm not opposed to the K-cup type of coffeemakers, as long as I can get a reusable something and not have to buy the little cups.
So, suggestions? Even just a read on good/bad brands would be helpful (this is my first new coffeemaker since I bought our current one when I went to college [1994], so my knowledge is a little out of date).

I love our Keurig, especially because we like different strengths and flavors of coffee so it's super easy for both of us to have exactly what we want. We do have a reusable cup, although we don't use it as much as we should to be really eco-friendly about it, but it is admittedly a bit of a PITA to clean every time. They actually have a new one, I think it's called the Vue, that has recyclable cups. The bigger machines can brew directly into a travel mug up to 12oz...and, um, don't tell anyone, but you can brew through it a second time to be a little more economical about it (it just won't be as strong the second time).
If you can try them out ahead of time, I'd do that. A lot depends on your preferences for strength of coffee. I find Keurig coffee to not be strong enough for me in general, but we have some fancy shmancy brewer here at work that uses pods and makes a good cup of coffee.
I spent a TON of time researching this (I drink decaf, C regular), and thought we would get a Black and Decker "Brew and Go", which are pretty well reviewed and you can get a second mug for. But what really won in the end was a personal-size French Press for C (she liked the coffee best) and a Melitta "Ready Set Joe" for me. I think the "ready set joe" is a great solution for brewing right into travel mugs, and cleanup is beyond easy. Add an electric kettle and it's super fast too!

Yeah, I think you have to do some experimenting with Keurig if you like strong coffee. My wife definitely likes her stronger than I do, so she's tried about a bazillion different ones to figure out what she likes and what size she likes them brewed. Me on the other hand, I'm fine with just about any of them!
