My friend booked us airline tickets for california. I have 2 last names but the state told me their system couldn't do that on my ID so it reads Smith, Suzy Que Jones. My friend booked my ticket in my legal name Jones Smith, Suzy Que. Everything is spelled correctly and the email confirmation reads Passenger: Suzy Que Jones Smith without indication of middle name and last name. Do I need to correct this?
I hate flying and this is another thing added to my anxiety.

It has not been a problem for me.
My maiden name is now my legal middle name. Two airlines have it as hyphenated in their systems and others have just my last name then first and middle names.
Both names show on my ID though.
To be certain and since you're already feeling anxious, call the airlines and get it corrected. One less thing to worry about on travel day. Times are changing and just getting through the airport is rough enough. Flying home this past weekend, I felt very violated by TSA's "pat" down. I had to literally go to the restroom to undo a wedgie. Is this what we've come to? I'm still upset about it!
Yes. Sadly a woman. It was waaay more than the back of the hands. I need to figure out how to file a complaint.
It seems like the world is so backwards right now.
That's ridiculous! I'm sorry you were violated like that.
I usually pop an Ativan for flights but I won't this time because I need to be alert. I also won't have DH with me who is my true calming factor so I'm sure I'll be a mess without TSA fucking with me. I called the airline last night and they sent me a new confirmation with just first and last name. The internet told me that's perfectly fine so at least I feel good about that.
