So we're only a little over an hour away from PTown and have decided to make a day trip tomorrow!
I know some of you have done Family Week when mostly everything is kid-friendly, but any specific rec's for activities or particularly kid-friendly dining?
We had a great day! I was a little worried that PTown with a toddler would be a drag, since what I most like to do there is browse shops and eat a lot (Henry's tough to shop with at this age, and dining out is a real challenge). We of course had a different day than we would have had just the two of us, but it ended up being really fun and Henry was a trooper!
He woke early this morning, so he was tired enough that he slept all the way there. I wore him in the mei tai once we got there while he came out of the grogginess. We bought him cute shirts (an I <3 My Moms one, of course!!), and grabbed pizza to go and a smoothie at Spiritus, which we ate on the beach. All of the public access points to the beach are so great for him! We were able to browse a little in shops, just avoided breakables, and had a long visit in the kids store where he could play with some toys. Then we were walking along, and a friendly lesbian stopped us to ask if we knew about the new kids room in the library! Well we checked it out and it was great! There is an actual enormous sailboat built into the library, and there are a bunch of toys. PERFECT! Let Henry play for a bit then off to ice cream, which we ate on the beach We let him run on the beach for a while, then a couple more shops before heading out. By that point, we'd been out all day so he was tired enough to sleep for most of the ride back too!
Of course, he's kinda been hell on wheels since we got back, haha, and I'm still waiting for him to fall asleep, right now, at 8:36...
One of my best friends is starting out as a photographer! He has this fancy camera that's basically magic, hahaha. Sometimes i think we should do a big gtg and have him do family photos for everyone. He doesn't charge yet, so we could broker a very good deal
