WWSND-----Selling a Car

Since we are moving to Egypt we are planning to sell basically everything we own, including our cars. My mom really needs a car badly. She doesn't have a job right now and is having an extra hard time finding a job without one (she lives in the middle of no-where and no public transportation goes out there).

We have a 94 camry, but it's in really good shape and is the top of line for it's model/year.....leather seats, cd player, spoiler, sun roof, etc and is in great running condition. It has it's flaws, but at it's current condition, it blue books at $2400.

My mom has said that she has $1500 saved for a car and she wants to buy our camry.

We really don't want to sell it that cheap when we can probably get around blue book for it.....especially when we are trying to save up a lot of money since we are moving out of the country....we want the most we can get........ but I also really want to help my mom. But taking $1500 is almost $1000 less....

So here's the options. WWSND?

Option 1: Sell it to her for $1500 or maybe try to get her to go to $1800

Option 2: Sell it to her for $2200ish (gives her a bit of discount from blue book)....but take $1500 now and allow her to make payments on the balance...........knowing that she doesn't have a job and hasn't been good in the past about paying money back to you.

Option 3: Just post it to craigslist and sell it to non-family

I'm not sure how to vote. You've posted stuff on TK's FB group that makes me mad at your mom for you, so I kind of want to vote to put it on CL. But she is your mother, and you will have to get rid of your car anyway.... so idk
