I read (devoured) these books in November while on vacation, and just re-read them over the last couple weeks. I've already pre-ordered this one so it will pop right into my kindle on day one! I was so relieved to see it will be a trilogy and that I won't have to wait forever for the conclusion (like Throne of Glass, which apparently has one or two more books to go still).

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but although it began as a trilogy, it has been extended into a 6 book 2 novella series.

I thought it was a trilogy, with three other novels and two novellas set in the same world? sarahjmaas.com/extras/faq/
I was thinking this story would be mostly wrapped up by the third book, and the other books would have different main characters/story arcs. I could be wrong about that though.

hmm, I hadn't read that. She does say in the news letter from last summer that she won't say if they're continuations or spinoffs because she doesn't want to spoil who lives through ACOWAR. I will be happy either way, though.
Thanks for posting!! For some reason, I thought the Throne of Glass book was coming out in May, and ACOWAR was Sept. I guess I had them mixed up. This is the one I'm looking forward to more, out of the two of them, so I'll take it.

So I just read the first two this weekend and looooooved them! I'm glad I don't have to wait long for ACOWAR. I really hope it does wrap it up and then the others are just more of a continuation.
I'm about to start the Throne of Glass series now. Picking it up from the library tomorrow.
