ENOUGH WITH THE DEAD THINGS ALREADY!

First there was the mouse yesterday.

Now I just let my dog in from outside, and he had something in his mouth, but I couldn't quite tell what it was. I told him to drop it, which he did, on my living room carpet, and it was the SEVERED FOOT OF A TURKEY.

I'm pretty sure it was a turkey, anyway. Some kind of large and nasty looking bird, in any case.

EWEWEWEWEWEWEWEW.

He has never shown any inclination to play with dead things before. I REALLY hope this is not the start of a phase.

I tried to get him to pick it up and take it back outside, but he wanted to play instead. And there was a limit to how long I was going to let it sit on my carpet while he danced around like an idiot.

Also, if I just made him take it outside, then it would still be where he could continue to play with it, and potentially bring it back in at a later (and much grosser) date.

So yes, I picked it up, and put it in the trash, which I immediately took out.

Ugh, now he's all stretched out on his bed, staring at me mournfully.

Brat.

The freaking thing was enormous. And scaly. And made me think of dinosaurs.

I say turkey, because I see them around the yard all the time. But if it wasn't a turkey, I don't want to know what it was.
