I love polished chrome, but the polished chrome faucet in our main bath spots so easily that I vowed to not go that route again.
Don't buy your faucet from lowes (or HD)....they use plastic/cheap materials that wear out faster in the big box store faucets, and they cost as much as the ones with quality parts. I sourced all of our faucets from different places on the internet, from overstock and amazon to plumbing sites, and found great products for good prices.
Our contractors all kept commenting on how nice (and heavy) they were, because the people around here normally just have them get something from Home Depot or Lowes. Even the building inspectors kept commenting on the quality.
Sinks are tough. We had a much harder time finding what we needed online. We weren't looking for apron front, but I remember noticing that it seemed like places like build.com, overstock, wayfair, etc. all had them. Maybe not a large selection at that time, but they had them.
We actually wound up getting a good deal on our kohler sink by talking to someone at the Ferguson showroom. They didn't have what we needed there, but the rep searched catalogs and found exactly what we had been looking for for us.

I like our faucets from faucetdirect (which is a build.com site). I don't know that you'd be able to get what you're looking for at the price you're looking for, though. You might try calling build and seeing if they have any deals or offers available you may not know about.
ha, so after a few hours of searching online and measuring my cabinets, plus much discussing with DH, our mothers, and the countertop folks, it looks like I'll be getting the $1000 sink after all. It seems that Kohler is basically the only brand that makes a sink that meets all of my qualifications (well Alfi does too but I don't like the look of it). *breathes into a paper bag* I've found it for exactly the same price from Amazon and Lowe's, both with free shipping to me.
That Kohler sink has 2 options, a larger apron front (about 8.75" ) and nearly 36 inches wide. It says it requires a 36" minimum base cabinet. The other option has a shorter apron front (about 6.75" ) and about 35.5 inches wide. It says it also requires a 36" minimum base cabinet, can be retrofitted to standard cabinetry. The larger apron front drop is going to be too much, so I'll go with the short apron. I'm just hoping it will be wide enough. The specs/rough in sheet say that the cut out will be 34" wide I think.
pictures of my sink and associated measurements (please ignore the dirty dishes )
from the top of the cabinet to the doors:
from the hinges on the far left to the hinges on the far right (approximation of the base cabinet size). will this be wide enough?
I think Lowe's currently has their 11% rebate deal going. Make a purchase and then get 11% off (or back) on your next purchase. Check online for details, as I may not have that quite right. Anyway, you could make a small purchase, then use the coupon for your sink.
