It's awesome but takes a few times to get comfortable with inserting and removing it. Think murder scene if you miss the toilet so make sure you're over the toilet, LOL. But, it has decreased cramps and has saved a ton of $$ not to mention decreased odds of TSS. I will never go back.

Ok, so...I tried it and it was HARD to get in! It felt too big, is that possible?!

They do have different sizes depending on age, if you've birthed etc. I opted for the smaller one. It feels *really* awkward in the beginning and you definitely have to play with folds to see what works to get it in there comfortably. I fold it in half, put it up and then let it release. Once released, I twist it a tiny bit and pull it an even slighter bit to get it to seal. Let me see if I can find a decent youtube for the folds...

I tried a couple of different brands (eva cup, lena cup) but I never got into it. I never liked tampons either - both make me feel crampy. I'd like to try to get a cup to work though for in the summer when I want to go swimming, so I may give it a try again.
They come in different sizes, and some brands are better for when your cervix sits low vs the cervix sitting higher. Also, the stem - you can trim it if it is bothering you.
I ended up cutting the stem after reading reviews and kind of regret that as it makes it harder for me to grab sometimes so I have to really err, uhm, dig, LOL. I wish I had waited to try it a few times first. I guess I sit high, who knew!

So, I ordered a Diva Cup, size 1 this time. Hopefully it'll work better for me, then as I get used to it, I might move on to the Lunette. Plus, the Diva Cup is supposed to be less stiff, so I think that will also help.
I use a Diva cup. Once you get the hang of putting it in and taking it out, I think it's so much nicer than tampons. I used a size 1 (? whatever the smaller one is) for many years until eventually I noticed I was wearing a panty liner every day too. I switched to the bigger one ( ) and am back to not even needing the liner except for the first day. They say you only have to empty it twice a day and that is true for me every day except the first, heavy day. Then I do it one or two extra times just in case.
