I've always been a Zelda fan, and I've always been the cut-every-bush kind of player. This game is completely sucking my free time, because there's just SO MUCH area to cover!
So far I've only unlocked three towers and 16 temples, but I have collected something like 60 korok seeds! I have literally been covering every inch of the map, and it takes me hours just to "finish" everything in a small corner of the map.
But I love it. And yesterday I finally got to ride a deer, so I pretty much spent five minutes just running around in a field saying "I'm on a DEER!!!! Wheeeeee!"

I haven't gotten a chance to yet personally (we've only had the game/switch for 3 days!), though I've watched dh play a bit. He was telling me how involved it is to regain hearts, lol, and how he went pig hunting and sat by an open fire. I'm committed to finishing skyward sword before starting a new Zelda. I have approximately 20 mins of free time in a day lately so I'm not sure when I'll ever get the chance :s

I have a friend who has started carrying the Switch around, so he can play in down moments when he just has a few minutes (waiting for an appointment, etc). Since I have a long commute by public transit, I thought that was an interesting option but haven't tried it yet.

Dh took ours to an OOT conference last week and also brings it with him when he sits with Ds2 at bedtime. It's amazing having an entire console that's so portable. I thought it was going to be more like the Wii U with the two part screen and console. I didn't realize until we got it that the whole thing is essentially a handheld console with controllers and the ability to link to a tv. Pretty cool. I'm looking forward to eventually getting into it. I work at home so it's really hard to just sit in my office rather than tinker with it!
Husband is playing while I supervise and make sure he doesn't miss any apples, that he picks the prettiest horse, and that he makes sure that they're good friends and remind him to use the ice blocks. He's playing on our Wii-U. I've never been a Zelda player, but I love watching it. I mostly man the computer and look shit up and then dole out tiny bits of info if he gets stuck, and keep tally of things needed for armor upgrades and such. He's done all of the Divine Beasts, side quests, shrines, armor upgrades and I convinced him to get all of the Korok seeds before tackling the final dungeon. We're totally using an internet guide for it and are about halfway through now, I think.
We both really like it, but I miss good music and sound effects. I don't like the new treasure noise, and it's a really quiet game a lot of the time. I loved the music in Wind Waker so much that I'm kind of bummed, though the background noises are neat with the way they change based on clothes and terrain, etc. I also miss the more classic dungeons with bad guys in them and keys to get. I get that's sort of what the shrines and Divine Beasts are about, but I feel like they could have done some sort of combination of new and old.
I'm playing on the Wii U. I love it. I'm probably never going to finish it because I like exploring so much.
The only thing I don't like is the voice acting. It's ... kind of terrible? Revali was okay but I didn't like Daruk or Mipha's voice actors at all. Zelda's is just kind of blah.

I've been hunting for rare items for new armor.
Didn't they create downloadable content with the original Japanese audio? I should check on this. The cut scenes make me cringe!
