New Black Dagger Brotherhood book today! The Chosen

Anyone else reading it soon? I'm not in love with Xcor but I'm a glutton for these books, so I'm looking forward to starting it.

I still haven't read The Beast. I've been struggling with BDB for the last few books.

I read the first in the BDB Legacy series and liked it. It felt like a new start without the weaving of so many of the original BDB characters.

I stopped at #8. Maybe I'll try picking them up again because I was interested in Qhuinn/Blay who apparently don't get a book until #11. I think I just read too many of them in a row and so they started to seem too similar. It's been a while since I read #8 so maybe it will be better now....

Totally!  They struck the right cord for my mood when I read them, and I tore through.  But then I had to wait a few months for the next one (The King, maybe?) and just wasn't interested anymore.  That's cool, though.  I definitely enjoyed them.   (hot)

Honestly, skip 9.  Maybe even 10, though I liked that one fine.  I did like #11, but it could have used help at the end.  You're right, they are predictable at this point and I really, really dislike that they are recycling characters.  I think the series has jumped the shark.

Finished! I think she got her groove back with the last couple of BDB books.

I thought the legacy books had promise but the second one was basically about Rhage and Mary. I was pretty bummed.


I was #3 on the hold list at the library. It said it was releasing 4/4. On 4/4 i changed to #2 on the hold list but ut said it was releasing on 4/11! Then that night it changed to releasing on 4/5. So I was #2 of 2 copies. I thought I would get it overnight or this morning but now I am #1 on the list of two copies. Overdrive is playing with me and I do not like it!

That's another part that I dislike about it! I thought the Legacy series was supposed to be stand alone with cameos and non essential side stories about the brothers.

Is Lassiter every going to get his own book?

I like Sola and Assail fine, but I'm not really sure they deserve their own book.  That said, I'm not really caught up on the series so maybe their story line is more complex than what I've read.

I think she said that Lassiter will get his own book. I mean the title is already there! The Angel. It's really a no brainer!
