I'd take the opportunity of an unsullied and actually stocked and organized display to peruse the nyx and ulta brand stuff in leisurely detail. (is that just my store that those two displays are always a total wreck? which is annoying because they're two of my favorite brands of cheap stuff.)
And then...oh, the possibilities are endless. When is the soft open? will the 21 days sale still be going on?

Friday.
ohh, so yeah, get some tarte blush. Because that's nice shit. The ulta gloss stain that's included in this weeks $3 stuff along with the other lipstick and glosses is ok. I'm actually wearing one today - it fades, but it fades very evenly and fairly slowly and doesn't feel dry and annoying after it sets.
for the coupon...you know, I don't even know. I'd kinda want to just see where the wind takes me once I got in the store with all the pretty things if I were you.
Also, I can use it to get a $30 haircut. Worth it?
Hard to say without knowing your hair. I had my last haircut at Ulta, and the cut is fine and my stylist was nice. However it wasn't a particularly enjoyable experience because there were random customers coming up to the stylists to ask them questions, in some cases resulting in the stylists walking away to find products for the customer.

You've been saving for this store to open. I expect a FaceTime while you are there. Get that highlighter that you didn't even want to touch at Sephora!
I get my hair cut at our local Ulta salon and always have a great experience. The woman I see is a Master Stylist and she is incredibly talented. Of course, like any salon, I would imagine there will be lots of variability between stylists and experiences.

People seriously came up to a stylist WHILE she was working on your hair and asked questions? WTF?

Yep. I think part of is that the store displays wrap around the salon area more than some other Ultas I've seen, but either way it was rude.

they didn't have any of the 21 Days of Beauty box sets (I really wanted the Benefit one on the flyer cover. Nope)... waaa!
some of it was fantastical. They have a shiny and new NYX area, and the Ulta stuff was actually mostly there. There were some totally empty places, too... like this:
still, the 20% off was nice.
I was feeling the need for spring.
Here's what I got: c. Booth Bath, Shower and Hair Wash in Rosemary Mint (which smells soooooooooo good) Benefit Erase Paste Tarte Blush in Dollface NYX eyeshadow singles in The Next Morning and Birthday Suit five different Ulta lipsticks and glosses and a pencil sharpener
I tried so hard to find a Makeup Revolution palette to love. I have such love for their stuff but couldn't make it happen. Was feeling springy and matte, and all of their stuff seemed to be dark or sparkly.
Went back, to another Ulta, and bought Makeup Revolution's Welcome to the Pleasuredome palette because it's pretty and Frankie Goes to Hollywood was my favorite band in high school.
