I have had 2 sections. Last one less than six months ago. My scar is sort of purple, in my pube area, and parts of it have vanished completely. I am not even worried about it since it is hard to even notice it in my sea of stretch marks.
mine is hypertrophic so it's gross. It happened after my first one, it started out not so bad but got worse as time went on. I asked what could be done about it before I had my second c/s and was told- nothing, they can cut that out but it's just the way my body scars and there isn't anything that can be done to prevent it so 5 months out right now it's not SO bad, but I am sure it will heal very pink and raggy and raised, and itchy like my first one did. Bummer is that they are more common is people with darker skin and I am about as pale as pale can be

Asian and it is still a pink slightly raised mark. Using mederma in the last few months has changed it from almost purple and really long to this smaller lighter color. I recommend it.
I am also pale, and almost 7 mo PP. My scar is above my pubic hair area, reddish brown, and raised. It would be pretty damn obvious if my flabby belly didn't flop over it :-( I have no plans to do anything about it as I do not care what it looks like. I fit a 9lb 4oz baby with a 99th percentile head out of that hole. It can be whatever it wants to be.
Yes mine is raised (is that keloid?) and on one side it's dimpled like that's where they tied me up or something. Mine is also itchy, and hurts especially after a hard workout.
I had a surgical scar w/a keloid several years ago: we knew that I would need to have it revised at some point (it was in a very visible area.) I'm really fair-skinned and told that I just don't scar well: lucky me!
I was initially told (I think by my derm) that I should wait a year for the non-keloid area to fade as much as possible before having it revised. ETA: I forgot! We also tried injections for the keloid with no luck. I used Mederma on the flat area, which helped the color fade a little. In the end, I had it revised (which was not really a surprise b/c of the keloid) and it's barely noticeable now.
My son is almost three and mine is a flat white line that is almost invisible. I'm convinced that it healed so well because my doctor was old and sewed every layer of skin the old fashioned way. These new doctors rushed thru that crap.
Let's not talk about my stomach.......I hate it!!!!
keloid scars are pretty rare- a keloid actually goes beyond the area of the original scar and grows. Hypertrophic scar are scars that heal red, raised and itchy/ painful but are still within the bounds of the original scar

It's been almost 3 years, but mine isn't very visible. And it was cut open twice! It's low enough to be covered by hair, but even so, it's a little lighter than my normal skin color and not at all raised.
