I am sorry you felt pressured by the doctor to nurse if it wasn't working for you, loira . I am glad you already feel better and are having success with your pumping! mpc , hoping that since you posted last night you are in L&D right now!!
Last night and into the morning hours baby G was moving SO much, it was tough to sleep! I was in heaven, though. At midnight H and I just laid in bed holding my belly and feeling him move. It was fun and sweet. We played him music and just talked to him, which we felt goofy doing, but it was sweet.
However, today I baked and had a few spoonfuls of raw dough (with egg) and now I am super paranoid that I am causing damage or will miscarry :/
grover, I think you were meant for this tag, not me.
Shauni, I'm sorry you're so anxious. I think it's sweet you and your H talk to the baby.
grover , I'm sorry you felt pressured. Do whatever makes you comfortable - as long as A is fed it doesn't matter how!
shauni27, try not to stress. If it makes you feel better, I ate chocolate mousse from the bakery next to my office approximately 7 zillion times while pregnant before I realized it comtains raw egg and is on the no no list :?

That sounds like such a great special moment.
Raw egg - one of many pregnancy rules I totally ignored. Giving up alcohol (which, uh, I also didn't) would be easy easier for me than giving up cookie dough!
Also, shauni27, raw egg is more likely (and not even all that likely) to give you salmonella, not listeria. My midwives in the UK always told me the reason they don't want women to get salmonella poisoning in pregnancy is because it can cause severe dehydration, not because the food poisoning itself damages the baby. But the UK was more relaxed around food/alcohol rules in general.
Baby girl is here! I went in thursday night cause the contractions were really starting to hurt. I went from 0 cm at 8:30 and them considering sending me home, to water breaking with a vengeance at 10:30 and being 6cm by the time they did my c section just before midnight. It went quick! She is doing so well and my recovery has been much better this time than the first time around. We should get to go home tomorrow morning. Breastfeeding has been really good - this girl seems to know exactly what she needs to do.
King26 , I had a fetal echo because of IVF. It's a detailed look at the heart. I think it actually took longer than my anatomy scan, because E wasn't being very cooperative.
I got my "free" from insurance breast pump (a spectra s2) over the weekend, and I have to say, I'm not impressed. I know I'm spoiled from using the hospital grade pump (a medela symphony), but omg. I worked today so I took the spectra instead of lugging the heavy ass medela around, and my boobs were not happy by the end of the day. I wonder if it gets better suction if you use the parts it comes with instead of the medela adapters.
I have a Medela Freestyle that I only used a few times before I moved to formula. I'd love to get it out of my house if you're interested. You can pay me the cost of shipping. I'd probably get new tubing if I were you, and maybe new plastic accessories if you feel compelled. If that's creepy or weird and you don't want it, no offense taken! Just wanted to offer because it was very expensive.
Thank you for the offer! I'm still renting the medela symphony, I was thinking I could use the spectra if I needed to be away from home since it's more portable. But I think I need the power of the symphony, since I'm apparently prone to clogs. So I'll just lug my heavy pump around with me!

Sorry to barge in, but since we're exclusive pumping twins...try Lechitin supplements! I was also prone to clogs and basically hauled a heating pad and a washcloth everywhere I went. Lechitin 3x a day really help thin out my milk and made my clogs easier to work out at least. I just ordered from Amazon.

Yes! The LC also recommended lechitin. I need to get some. We were at Walmart over the weekend and I almost bought a bottle, but the pills were HUGE. I'm hoping to find some of a more manageable size. I'll look around on Amazon during my next pumping session.
So....I'm four weeks post partum tomorrow, and after dealing with IF, H's low drive for years, not wanting sex while pregnant, both H and I are actually wanting to have sex. This has rarely occurred at the same time in the 7 years we've been married.
That said, we're definitely waiting til the 6 week postpartum appt, then seeing how I feel then. We are not planning on going on birth control. A arrived on the 4 year mark of going off if BCP. While I really have no desire to physically be pregnant again (ugh the heartburn and nausea), I would love a second. H used to be one and done, but with losing his dad in January and the arrival of baby A, he's loving being a dad and he's commenting on wanting a second. While daycare will make things tighter with two closer together, we'd rather get some of the lack of sleep and diapers and such out of the way sooner (if we have that as an option since IF obviously already robbed us of our ideal timelines.)
