Oooh thanks for sharing! I had no idea it was going to be a movie. The book is so messed up, I imagine the movie is going to be pretty disturbing. Though one of the things I liked about the book was when she considers the multiple meanings of words, which will probably have to be cut
I was chilled to the bone the first time I read the book ~20 years ago and it's even more frightening today. I'm really glad it's coming out as a miniseries so more people can see how easily our freedoms can slip away.

It's actually going to be a series on Hulu, starts on April 26th.

The movie came out in 1990!
Ha! So there's already a movie and this is a new series. Got it. I just assumed trailer = movie trailer. Whoops! The series looks good. Was the movie any good?
I'm trying to get my book club to read this for April meeting & they are leaning toward a "feel good"/ lighter novel. WahWAH! I'm a tiny bit embarrassed to admit that the Hulu series might help my case, as a couple of members (busy moms, no judgement!) will vote for my book now- HA! Maybe I should move to May..? 🤔
I feel conflicted. I really hated this book, but a part of that is I don't like the way Margaret Atwood writes, so it's possible the miniseries won't piss me off in same way. I feel like the maddening non-linear stream of consciousness storytelling format will have to go away, and that alone would make things better for me.
But I also don't have Hulu, so... it's kind of moot.
