Hi ladies!

My day has been kinda crappy. I had the pleasure to meet a wasp that was living with us. I stepped on him and he stung the bottom of my right foot. Ouch. I have to wear flip flops today since my foot is swollen and it didn't fit in my sneaker. On a good note, saw my travel agent today. The prices aren't as high as we suspected. Now to sit down with H and pick a date for our cruise!

To be as sleep deprived as I am...I'm kind of witty today. Thank goodness!!! I ended up asking my Dad to come with my Mom tonight when they watch L tomorrow....since daycare is closed for Good Friday. DH can't get out of teaching his clients that day and I'm IT for HR, since everyone else is out tomorrow. I had one childcare back-up I could have called/tried today. I know her from church....I'm just not ready to pull the trigger. I need to vet that one out a little more. The good news is my Mom behaves better in front of my Dad. So, hopefully, all will be OK. Fingers crossed.

I found out yesterday that E's daycare will be closed tomorrow. H's parents are in town, but they're going house shopping so they're unavailable. I think H's niece can babysit??? Since her school is also closed. We're also about thisclose to having our refund for the old daycare approved by their corporate, and if that happens today, we're pulling him and starting in the new daycare tomorrow or Monday. The new daycare is holding his spot waiting for us to be released from the old one.

Also, demo starts today on my laundry room renovation! We're knocking out a wall to make a larger laundry/mudroom, and opening a hole between the house and the garage into the mudroom (currently, there is no interior access from the garage to the house, you have to walk outside).

MrsMB Good luck with your parents. I hope your mom behaves.

I'm waiting on H to bring home Taco Bell. I went to the grocery store today so naturally we're buying lunch out.

@pooh8602 I hope the daycare refund is taken care of quickly. That whole situation sounded like a mess. Yay for the laundry room reno! That's one thing on my major renovation list beause we have a little laundy hallway and it's already driving me nuts.

MrsMB I'm glad to hear your mom is better behaved when your dad is around. Hopefully she will start when he isn't. Cruises are our favorite vacations. No phones, no pagers. It forces us to actually talk to each other and others. DH laughs that it makes me work in my people skills. I'm pretty blunt at work and can be intimidating to people.

C and I are hanging outside while L naps! My dad is coming over during C's nap so I can help him with a presentation for his business. DH has tomorrow off for Good Friday and will hopefully be home early to help with bath and bed. He also wants to go to the wild animal park tomorrow but I am hesitant. We have been gone so much and L is so off his routine. It would be fun though if L is in a good mood (he wasn't last week when we did the zoo).

I went through a box where I keep a few old cards and race medals, etc. I found some old birthday and Mother's Day cards from my mom. I am really glad I saved them. One of them said that I brought her so much happiness and joy and that she hopes I get that from being a mom as well. The boys have been a huge help this past week, especially C because I know that he was the best part of her life there for awhile. It hurts to think she could have had more time with him but a part of me thinks she pushed me away when she did to make it easier on all of us, her included (I think it was hard for her to see what she would be missing when she passed away).

wineandcheese It was good, but I ate it too fast and now don't feel so well, lol. I've discovered a new menu item that I like, so I've been eating there more often than I should, lol.

Free bagels at Panera for me this month=amazing! I just order online and run in and get it and eat it at my desk. One less thing to do at home.

rockinrobyn, you reminded me that I got free bagels this month too! There isn't a Panera that's super convenient for me though....there's one not too far away, but it's in a shopping center I never go to, and making an extra stop seems like a pain. I am going to make it a mission to get there at least once this month...

I had free bagels last month. I would take C on Sunday mornings for a little one on one time with him. We shared a bagel and I got a coffee. We also went one other time on the way to an appointment for L.

I'm listening to a lecture for one of my classes. The professors have been switching off, and the one I'm listening to now is awful. She's obviously awkward when it comes to lecturing into a microphone--lots of pauses, hesitancy, stuff like that. It's so painful to listen to. And she mostly just reads off the slides, but occasionally drops a bit of extra info so I force myself to listen.

Get almost there and bib pup tries throwing himself out the window, he's never done that. Then comes THE SMELL. DUMB ASS DOG SHIT IN MY CAR. ALL ON THE SEAT, THE BACKS, ON THE BELTS IN THE LATCHES.

We bought a couch! We've been browsing casually for a while to find one that had a chaise and was still small enough for our living room. Goodbye futon!!
