I think it works, actually. How old is she? Are her feet even going to be visible in a school photo?
She just turned 4 one week ago. She will have an individual picture where her shoes won't be visible and a group photo but I'm not sure if they'll be standing or sitting for that.
They don't EXACTLY go together - the dress is fancier and the shoes are more casual - but I don't think it's horrible...
Are you leaning toward a dress shoe or a sandal? Multi purpose or single use?
I agree the dress is fancier. That's why I'm panicking lol. A sandal so she can wear it more than just this one day but I'll get dress shoes too.
I think it could work, but there are a bunch of cute metallic/white sandals on the Target page - not sure if they have them locally or not... For one picture day it should be OK. Save

I think it looks just fine for a 4 year olds school picture. Aside from the fact that there won't be a foot close up, it's not like it's a pair of beat up sneakers.
Xavier once wore a wrestling tshirt bc I told him to dress himself for picture day. I love that picture. lol.

Remind her to close her legs if they are sitting. There was a poor girl with very visible underwear in DD2's class photo last year.

We'll swing into Target before school tomorrow and see what they have in store. Everything online that I think will work they don't have in store. Just my luck!

Oh my gosh. That poor girl. You think the teachers would've made sure that the girls wearing dresses were sitting properly. I'll definitely remind DD. Ty!

i still don't see what's so awful about this. Maybe this is why I'll always be frumpy?
if the shoe was gold vs brown it'd be perfect. The odds of the camera focusing on the brown of the shoe is slim to none.
Ty! And there are gold pieces in the middle of the flowers so I keep telling myself it'll work lol. I'm frumpy myself but I look back at my school pics and wonder what the heck my mom was thinking when she dressed me and I think that's why I just want it to be perfect ya know?
Maybe it's a good thing I'm a boy mom. I think that combo looks perfectly fine. I suck at this.
I sometimes feel sorry for my daughters that they have me to teach them fashion/beauty tips. My kid went to Easter Mass with Peppa Pig sneakers with her dress because she has no dress shoes that fit. It should go without saying I think the above outfit is fine. I also suck at this lol.

Yeah... my DH can count on his hands the number of times he's seen me in makeup. We've been together 10 years. I can kinda sorta do a braid. I'd be hard pressed to do anything besides that or a ponytail. Definitely a good thing I have boys.
