I use Neutrogena Naturals and it has been great for my cystic acne in the two weeks I've been using it. It is also the right pH for a cleanser.
I use the Cereve PM moisturizer and like it well enough. It's heavy IMO for daytime use, but great for overnight. I also use vitamin C before moisturizer in the evening. I use my niacinamide product in the morning, but it's all fine to use together. Just make sure you wait long enough for VitC to do it's thing 15-20 min before applying other products.
ETA: Some people report reactions from VitC + Niacinamide used at the same time. This is why I separate the times - one in evening and one in morning.
I had horrible hormonal cystic acne. I started using the Cerave foaming cleanser and just the regular pump bottle of moisturizing lotion a couple years ago. The cystic acne is almost completely gone. I occasionally get a pimple, but it's one every few months instead a a few every month.
It definitely took awhile to see all of the results. And I still have large pores (should probably work on that, although some of it is genetic, my mom has them too) and some darkening from previous scars (again, something I should work on) but the active cystic acne is very much improved. I know it won't work for everyone but it might be worth a try!
I use the cera ve foaming rather than the hydrating. Does the job, causes no problems.
I suspect the niacinamide doesn't really do a whole hell of a lot on a product that you immediately rinse off again like a foaming cleanser, so you're less likely to get the flushing issue that can happen when you combine it with vit c. I didn't have any issues when I was using a vit c serum in the AM immediately after using the cerave cleanser. which doesn't mean it can't happen of course, but it's not a given.

I use the CeraVe hydrating cleanser after my oil cleanse. I really like it. It didn't break me out when I changed from my other products. I have combination skin and just normal break outs.
I used to use that cleanser after my oil cleanser. It was fine, didn't cause any problems with my skin. I only stopped using it because I found another one that I like better.

That makes sense. I was more concerned with the moisturizer, but I imagine it's only a very small amount compared to my niacinamide serum from The Ordinary.
Oh, my reading comprehension is not at 100% today apparently. I missed entirely that you were asking about the lotion. I would be more concerned with the moisturizer I guess. the cerave PM has been a constant in my rotation for like 2 years now, and I used a vit C serum for like 3 months about a year ago so I have to imagine I used them together at some point. (I've been testing out a lot of moisturizers over the past year or so, so not a constant pairing, but I'm sure I used them together a few times) I didn't have any issues. But I think that interaction is very much case by case.
