Sleepy, sleepy Randoms. Andrew came into our room at 3am and woke ME up to tell me he missed DH. First of all, go back to bed. Secondly, why couldn't you have told HIM that? He was right next to me!!!
Pdq pic look at this photo of my parents from a wedding they were at last week, it's lovely 🙂 making me feel a bit sad now .. hard to be far away. But we'll be having visitors soon
I think my mom has aged well considering the seven kids thing. She doesn't even dye her hair
Day 2 of state testing. 5 more total. 20.5 days of school. The kids checked out a month ago. This is going to be a super long month. We're watching movies after the test because IDGAF
Ugh, E was coughing most of the night and then crawled into bed with me at 5 and flailed like an octopus. B is in his most belligerent form this morning and I'm having a hard time finding my patience and calm to deal with him. work.faster.coffee.
DD is home sick again today, my poor girl. It's meant that I've gotten lots of snuggles and have been able to read a ton, which are both rare treats.
My mother and I are throwing my sister a circus themed baby shower and I just ordered the invitations and they are SO stinking cute! Almost makes me want to have another one.... Almost....
laurack - how does she not dye her hair? I'm 33 and just had to start covering greys and I'm really pissed about it. I don't think your hair should go grey until at LEAST 40.
Ps - it's a really cute picture and you look a lot like your mom!
My dog came home from NJ covered in ticks. We prob pulled 30 off of him...eek. They were the larger type of ticks and he's had a Lyme vaccine, but taking them both to the vet tonight just in case. I hate bugs!!! Of course now I feel itchy...
Colton has recently started getting out of bed in the mornings himself and is proud saying, 'I get out of bed myself!' However, he's getting up the same time as me now (6a where he was sleeping until 7a or later) and is slowing down my getting ready for work process. Today, he dropped mini marshmallows all over the floor as he pulled them out of the pantry, whined about his breakfast, told the dog not to eat his toes (he was not even close to his toes), and demanded to be held while I packed Blake's lunch. All while my H slept until 715a before I went back and woke his ass up. I'm hoping this is just a phase . I do like that we get a little one on one time in the morning though.
TrudyCampbell - I feel itchy just reading that. I keep hearing ticks are going to be terrible this year since we had such a mild winter. My dog has A ton of hair and we are surrounded by woods, so I'm paranoid him or the boys are going to get them. One of my friends took their kids to a nature park and found 8 ticks on them!
My little guy was up 4 times last night and today is H's long day at school. I think we're going to do a picnic for lunch and go out for dinner because I really don't want to do any dishes today.
I've never had a tick before. Can you feel them on you?
I can't remember ever having one on myself but Ruby had one in her hair last year. They're so scary! I need to tell my inlaws to have their yard sprayed or something.

chirpchirp I found one on my chest right below my shoulder last year. I didn't even notice it until I saw myself in the mirror when I was getting ready to shower. Ticks are the worst!
I'm home sick today. My fever's gone, but my throat's still sore. Fortunately, not as badly as yesterday. They gave me a prescription of numbing medicine to gargle, but it's so disgusting, I can't handle it. Instead, it's tea and soup for me.

I gave my last final today and now no school for a few weeks, so I've got full weekends for a bit! I'm going to eat a cheeseburger and have a beer for lunch *does the cabbage patch*
Next week is going to be so busy starting Wednesday. A's birthday, ILs are coming, A's party, final project is due, and then leave for MX. So today I'm sitting on my butt doing nothing lol. Maybe I'll do laundry I guess.
I have a kid book rec! The series is ordinary people change the world. The author is Brad Meltzer. Noah got 'I am Jim Henson ' for his birthday and we both love it. I've added a bunch of the other ones to their wish lists. They have ones that are fun like Jim Henson and they have historical ones like Abraham Lincoln.

I'm mad at myself for letting the kids sign up for multiple activities. B is playing soccer and baseball and K is doing dance and tball. I'm already over it and the seasons have just begun.

Eeeek! Now I'm worried about getting one on the back of my neck or some thing where I can't see it!

this is my constant dilemma. i feel like i should sign them up for fun stuff but then don't know how we could handle more!

It's too much!! There have already been 2 schedule conflicts and we've have to choose one activity over another. I hate doing that. My H thinks I need to stop stressing over it. Shut up dude.
