I've been working my ass off doing insanity max 30 the last 60 days, and am beginning to start running again consistently. I'm working out at least 5 days a week, sometimes 6. However, I'm not seeing the results that I want. I'm really not dropping much weight or inches. I know the majority is my diet. I do really good throughout the day, but night is my downfall. I'm really bad at self sabotage so I'm looking for some motivation.
Debating between doing a diet bet with autumn calabrase for $30 or whether I should just join weight watchers. I have done the portion control containers that go along w the beachbody programs, but have a hard time tracking and planning (which I know is something I'll have to make time for either way). Soooo, which would you do? Pros or cons of either? I'm going to continue running and working out no matter what.
Awesome job working out! I have the most trouble doing that, I really need to start.
I've heard really good things about weight watchers but have never tried it. I have used myfitnesspal (it's a free app) in the past with pretty good results and also have been doing a low carb diet on and off the last year with good results.

Weight Watchers has a very long, proven track record. I like that they are constantly revamping the program based upon new information and focus on lifestyle changes. I will say that the best successes I have had with weight watchers were when I made the time to attend the weekly meetings and track. I really need that accountability. Congratulations on your work out resolve.
@lindy - I've done myfitnesspal previously, but then I start to obsess about every little calorie. WW is just points, so I feel like I wouldn't obsess as much. And I hate paying for it, but maybe that would also give me motivation. I probably need to do low carb, but is sooooo hard for me (and probably everyone else lol). I've added a lot more protein which I'm not huge on, but even the main veggies I like are carbs - corn, peas, Lima beans which is frustrating because I feel like veggies shouldn't count as carbs lol! I've been frustrated because I'm putting in the workout effort, but no results. And I know nutrition is 80% of it.
onehitwonder - you're right - they do have a proven track record, and offer more support than a diet bet probably would. I don't know if I could attend the meetings - partly because of our schedule, but mainly because I am sooooo intimidated by physically going to a meeting and weighing in with people there. It makes me nervous just thinking about it, but I suppose that's what holds you accountable.
Diet bets aregreat but did not work for me longer term. Month after month I would work to drop the weight and then gain it back only to lose it again. Stupid vicious cycle.
I'm doing WW again. I've always beem successful when I follow the plan so I'm hoping this works. I've lost 2 lbs already... only 20 more to go!

I was hoping you'd chime in because I knew you had done some dietbets. Sounds like WW is the way to go.
When I stick with it, ww is great! I find I make better choices on ww than any other diet I have tried. And.. I love that ww is really something that can be lifelong. It isn't so restrictive, that its impossible. (Like my sister just gave up carbs, and lost 5 lbs the first week, she is so excited... but... she will never be able to stick with it long term... I mean beer has carbs .
I have been stress eating lately with all the Annabelle stuff, and decided that Friday is the day it stops. I have the ww app (paid for 3 months) and haven't been tracking.
Diet bets are good for a kick in the pants to get you on track, but not for any sort of sustainability. I did one of the Transformers and all of the other participants were actually very encouraging and motivating.
sunshineluv - I really like that WW isn't restrictive too. I think that's my main problem with the beachbody containers - there's not really any 'cheating' and it's just Whole Foods all the time which is great, but I get frustrated when I can't follow through w it. I just don't have the will to not cheat- at least not right now. WW will let me eats chips if I want to, I just have to take the large amount of points . I signed up this morning for 3 months.

Awesome! Feel free to check in with me, I can do the same for you if you want.. We can hold each other accountable!

I'm a HUGE weight watchers advocate! It is the only thing that has ever worked for me and it is very sensible and attainable without making you feel completely deprived.

I have had a lot of good luck with the 21DF containers diet. Even though I don't strictly follow it anymore, it taught me a lot and I now eat far less carbs and dairy than I used to.
