I don't usually go here, but I'm hoping someone might have tips for me. My daughter's First Communion is this weekend. She's wearing a veil that's attached to a ring of fake flowers. The ring part sits on top of her head with the veil in back. It has four tiny loops for putting pins through. I just tried making a small braid on each side and connecting those in back of her head, and then trying to pin on the veil with regular bobby pins. I can't figure out how to get the pins to DO anything but slip in her hair. I mean, the head piece is on, but It doesn't seem secure at all. Do they make smaller bobby pins or some other kind of clip to try? Any tips? TIA.
They do make smaller size bobby pins- they're about an inch or so long.
Tip- cross the bobby pins. So put one through the loop, and then put another one in her hair that is crossed over the original. You could do that a few times and it would be secure, braid or no braid.
