I just want to b$tch for a second. I have been so looking forward to an appointment with a psych to figure out some med issues (specifically to find an pregnancy-safe alternative to what I'm taking now). My appointment was at 11. I got there at 10:40 to give myself plenty of time to find the office, do ppw, etc. I waited and waited and finally at 11:10 they came out and said the Dr. had an emergency and had to leave. The next available appointment is at the end of the month. Dang. So by the time I got back to work, I was out of the office for an hour for an appointment that never happened. I have been so anxious lately and was really hoping to get some relief.
Vent over, I guess. Anyone else want to wallow with me?
Ugh, that really sucks. And of course, if the situation had been reversed, you would have still been charged for the appointment. Too bad you can't do that back to her.

I've had that happen ib several medical offices, I get so angry. One time I got so angry I cried, suddenly they were able to help me. Eversince I throw huge temper tantrums when thay happens. Even if it doesn't help, it makes me personally feel better...

I should have done this. I actually felt some tears welling up when I got out to my car. I thought about calling them and pushing it a little. I have a hard time accepting that I had to wait 2 weeks to waste an hour at their office only to wait another two weeks!
I will wallow. I planned to take 3 days off in October to give me and H a week off over our first anniversary to take a trip. I had confirmed the other secretary would be there and had told my boss in June. This week he decides it isn't a good week for me to be gone. WTF? I am beyond pissed, the other girl said she would say something to him. I am still stewing until I can be calm and figure out what the conversation is going to be when I see him tomorrow.

Nothing to wallow about here besides a bad sinus headache...waaah.
But eff that shit with the psych appt., I hatehatehate when people are careless/rude with my time. Like they couldn't have told you when they first saw you waiting there?? Has it ever happened before? I know you can't help an emergency, but I would address it if its happened before.
And HAYELLLL no to the boss with the vacay veto, um, no. I'd be certain to say that you had this cleared in June, so, 4 mos in advance of the actual trip, and that you have things paid for already, and you're sorry there was confusion, but you're sure he can understand. Besides, secretary #2 will cover. I mean shit, they let you out of jury duty with that kind of commitment!

Do you have in writing that he said it would be ok to take the time off? I'd give him a hard time about it, that's not cool to change your mind at the last minute!! My complaint for today was I am meeting 2 girlfriends for a "girls night" dinner tonight, one of them is now bringing her 3year old and 2 month old. Ugh. I prefer my Fri nights to be child-less lol. I'm not interested in socializing w other peoples kids. I feel bad bc that's mean but oh well
