It does in my book depending what I'm doing, lol.
We had a random little protest outside my work today. I still don't really know what they were protesting. They had signs that were weird. One was about allowing bathroom breaks (we can go when we want?). There were signs with the acronym CWA I think it was which Google told me is either "Central Wisconsin Airport" or "Call center Workers Association" (something like that). Probably not the first one I was just confused about what they were protesting. I have no idea what the rules our call center has but I'm sure they're more lenient than a lot of places!
estrellita - Call centers tend to have really strict rules, especially if they handle inbound calls. Extra breaks are usually counted against metrics, because it's time when they should be taking calls.

Oh yes, I've worked on phones. We had super strict rules when I worked in collections even though we were outbound! I totally get having rules about it but as far as I know my work is more relaxed than I think most places are.

Ah! That makes more sense. The call center I work(ed) at is super strict about it.
