Who remembers the thread on the old PCE when a child was put out of class because she was wearing Black hair products and the teacher said they were making her physically ill? Like the smell of Knot Today was making her pass out!

So my MIL just told me something similar happened to my nephew. School said he had a mohawk type style. SIL disagreed, but got it cut to their standards. New haircut still didn't meet their standards, and nephew had to stay at home for one day.
Please, please tell me how a haircut is disruptive to his or other students learning. Such BS.

OMG.
You know, there was a kid at my HS who literally had a 8 inch green and black mohawk. As long as you weren't sitting behind him, we all managed to learn. But no one could sit behind my 6' 4" HS BF either. Or his 6' 6" brother. Or the 6'5" woman who played center on our basketball team. It was really not a big deal. And I'll wager your nephew wasn't anywhere near that mohawky.
My HS did have a dress code and that hair style broke at least two of the rules. It was never really enforced. I assumed they had better shit to deal with.

It's so ridiculous, but what can you do at that moment, you don't want to risk more time off for school. He'll probably transfer anyway. He's having some other "bullying" type issues with the teacher, at least according to MIL. Always getting conduct marks and what not, even though he says he's not doing anything.
