If you did the birthday balloon door, how did your kid react when they woke up?

Tyler was totally confused and then afraid to break through the paper. He ninja crawled underneath it and came in and yelled at me and demanded to know why I would do that. He just asked me to never do that again.

I'm not going to lie, i definitely laughed at the image of him crawling through it. I didn't do it this year because I ran out of time but last year he thought it was the best thing ever.

He typically doesn't get up in the middle of the night

I want to do this, but he usually wakes up at some point in the night and comes to my bed 😭

Ansley thought it was hilarious. But I wish I could have seen her reaction. She never gets up in the middle of the night. Though once we had finished, I heard the cat and realized she was in A's room. So I had to get the cat out and we had to do it again

Andrew loved it! He was singing Happy Birthday to himself that morning before he came out of his room, so he was already excited.

TrudyCampbell - Andrew has his own bathroom off his bedroom, so that wasn't a concern. I was still worried that he'd wake up and come out MOTN, but we were lucky.

We just did streamers on his door and balloons in his room. He loved it!

I couldn't do the door for her because she calls for us in the morning from her bed and won't leave her bed unless we get her up. She also gets up (not on her own) in the MOTN.
Maybe I could do the hallway or something, after her MOTN bathroom trip, next year. She would love it.
