Just grabbed a copy from target bc I didn't preorder anywhere. It was the only copy my target had and it was shoved on the new book endcap without a label. I was surprised. I guess most people just preorder.

Same!! In fact l didn't like Empire of Storms at all so I'm very nervous about this one.

I picked up a hard copy at Barnes and Noble today. I should have waited until I got to Target, as there was one with a pre-stamped signature.

I'm going to try so hard to be good with this one. I have a bad habit of flipping ahead and reading and then just reading the last few chapters. It kind of ruins books so I need to stop.

I will say that the cover info is clear that this is the THIRD book, not the final. Damn it Maas!!!

In today's newsletter, SJM wrote about how emotional it was to end F/R's story.

Okay good. I can handle it if she does something like Cassandra Clare with prequels and spin offs, but NOT if she pulls a Clare and turns a trilogy into 6 books - both of which she did with Mortal Instruments.

200 pages in and not disappointed.

I'm only a few chapters in but I plan on devoting most of the day to reading. It's raining, we have contractors in our house retiling our bathroom, and DD will be in school all day. Sounds like a good day to do nothing but read.

I was only able to get about 50 pages into it last night (I didn't have as much time as I thought I would and I didn't want to get so far into it that I couldn't put it down, lol.)

But I was half excited, half disappointed because I thought, this is so much shorter than ACOMAF! (if you compare the books side by side in hardcover.) then I looked at the page numbers and realized the actual pages are just thinner in ACOWAR lol.

I was upset too lol until I released the pages were basically see through they were so thin and it was longer!

I got about 70 pages in last night. Can't wait for my lunch break!

I've got 100 pages to go. I'm sure I'll re-read next week just bc I'm a speed reader and get a bit too fast if I'm really into a book.

My 3 year old is on movie 2 of the day while I read (mom of the year here! Lol)
