I am forcing myself to take breaks and finish up two other books I had already started before the book was released. It's kind of killing me though. But I am almost done with both! And then I can focus 100% on reading this book.

I had the last Harry Potter book done before it was light out after getting it at midnight lol. This time I stuck to mostly daylight hours but my kids watched at least 4 movies in order to make it happen. Movie quota hit for the week lol

Wait so is this the last book in a trilogy? I just started hearing about this series a few months ago but wanted to wait until the last book was out to start reading it.

It's the last book in the main story line. There will be (3?) more spinoff books.

I don't think I've ever been 100% happy about how an author wraps up a series like this before, but Maas did it! And so many options for other storylines to continue!

Okay - WTF is "the back of the palm"? Sorry I'm an idiot but this is really bothering me! They're always being intimate with brushing and rubbing and kissing the back of the palm. What is this? As far as I know, your palm is the inside of your hand. The back is...the back of your hand. Under your knuckles, like backhanding someone! Does she mean the BOTTOM of the palm, near the inside of your wrist? Is this a regional thing? WHY DOES IT BOTHER ME SO?!? Please help. It's seriously distracting.

LOL MrsAxilla, I think she means back of the hand and its where they are linked via the mating bond, like where the eye was on the bargain tattoo. Maybe?

The eye was definitely on the palm.

MrsAxilla, I've read this before in other writings, and in the context of those stories, it was clearly the back of the hand. So that's what I presumed here as well.

This might get people mad at me, but I'm on Chapter 38 (52%) and I think not being able to open that thread yet is keeping me more interested in reading the book than just wanting to know how the book is going to end. So far anyways. Don't get me wrong, I like it, but I'm not loving it. Yet. I'm hoping she pulls out a really great ending that makes me forget some of the snooze-ness I am feeling right now.

now that we know what Amren is, how did she end up in The Prison to begin with ages and ages ago? Who was able to put her there?
