Hi! It has been a while since I've posted anything. I do keep up with many of you on FB which is great π
Has anyone done combination feeding and do you have any tips? Were you able to keep up your supply while supplementing? I don't want to have to pump the missed feedings.
My son is 4.5 months now and I go back to work in 2 weeks. I'm finding myself so busy with life and the older kids so it would be great to be able to add a bottle here and there. Plus we are going to Disney world next week so I would like to have the option to formula feed at times if we need to.
Ps, any Disney tips for an infant are welcome as well!!

I went to Disney with a 1 year old that was still breastfeeding. It was very bf friendly. They have very nice bf stations with quiet rooms, changing stations and tv rooms for dad and toddlers. The park was also friendly. I would find a seat and bf anywhere. I personally prefer to have an A&A blanket to cover up with.
As for combination feeding, I didn't really do it until the end of breastfeeding when My supply was dipping anyway. I would think if you feed a bottle you either need to pump or you are going to eventually dry up. I was able to bf only in morning and evening and not need to pump during the day. It should definitely be gradual to avoid clogged ducts, leaking or painful full breast.
I did a bit of combo feeding with A. The easiest seemed to be to pick a feed during the day and switch that one to formula. If I tried to mix it up, or just do it sometimes, I could get really uncomfortable if I didn't pump to replace the formula. Since you're going back to work, maybe take a daytime feeding and change it to formula, then during the week you can pump one less time while at work and on the weekends get a break during the feed.
I don't have feeding tips, but did Disneyland with a 3 month old! It was fine! She's a chill babe and she just hung out in the stroller mostly. We used rider swap sometimes or just switched off who did what ride with kids.
Hi!! We've been great! How are you doing? Having a baby the second time around has been so much easier for me. Im really enjoying this newborn / infant stage.
I've heard all about rider swap! We will definitely be taking advantage of that.
