Ugh, guys, it's started already. It's 95 here today. Kill me. I hate summer.
yup. FFWC? I'm kind of thrilled I won't be here for a large part of the next three summers to worry about entertaining children in the blistering heat. And then they'll be 6, 8 and 9 and hopefully we'll able to afford fun camps all summer!
Loco Coco It's 89 here right now and I'm so uncomfortable! I just turned on the air and am laying in my bed while Sydney entertains her brother. I'm melting.
Right?! My weather app claims 56 on Sunday, I will be thrilled if that is true!
Loco Cocosteph196 it's been in the 50s here for a while. Wanna trade?
Yup! Lol. Although I don't miss humidity or snow. I have a very specific set of preferred temperatures. 60-75 at all times with low humidity preferred. Haha.
70-75 with low humidity is perfect! We are already spoiled in CA, but I'd like to make it even more ideal.

I've heard Colorado has very low humidity and mild summers! We do get snow though lol but the gorgeous summer, spring, and fall make up for it. Also there's like no bugs here. The low humidity and fewer bugs are pretty much why I moved here.

I love the weather here. It's just about perfect.
I'm so sorry to hear about your rabbit rjamz! What a bummer, especially since you just worked through that psycho squirrel situation. I've been battling the bunnies here for three years, and honestly the only thing that works long term is barricades. I use three foot tall chicken wire and completely surround my beds, so two feet are above ground and the last foot is bent in an "L" shape and buried to prevent digging under. Ironically, rabbits don't tend to hop over barriers, so a two foot tall enclosure should be good. They can, however, squeeze through cracks, so make sure everything is joined up tight. And don't forget to mount tiny French flags on the top when you are done to strike the proper tone. Viva la resistance!

I'm cry laughing!
My pots are on a concrete slab so I'll have to figure out how to create the barrier, but I'm sure the guys at Home Depot will have ideas! My biggest issue are my berry bushes in the ground. The little rascal is already snacking on the leaves it can reach.

I'd maybe group the pots together and build a frame that surrounds them, then staple gun or tack the chicken wire to that. Try collars of chicken wire zip tied around the bushes maybe? Works for my neighbors roses!
