I finally caved and got one. I tried it out his morning. I think my foundation looks nicer, but I'm not sure I was using the blender correctly. Does it have to be damp? I like full coverage, if that matters (and use Taste Amazonian Clay). Should I be dabbing or wiping? I sort of did a combination of both this morning. TIA.

I use the Real Techniques knock off, but I assume they function the same.
Always use it wet. Wet it thoroughly, then squeeze all the excess water out with your hand. I usually dot my foundation around my face first, then use the sponge. But you could put some on the sponge then apply it that way. Definitely dab/pat instead of wiping.
Definitely damp - I wet it until it gets to be almost double sized, then let it 'dry' a bit while brushing teeth or putting on something else. And then I use it first to wipe across the face followed by dabbing to really set in the foundation.
I wet mine, squeeze out the excess and the squeeze again it in a towel. Dot on my foundation with my fingers and blend using a bouncing motion.
I have used both the Beauty Blender and the RT sponge and for the price difference, the RT is the only one I use now. I don't see a difference and actually like the RT shape better.
Yes wet it and then squeeze out the excess water. I also use a towel to wring it out. Use a bouncing motion to blend in foundation. Some foundations I dot on my face first and some I put on the blender first. I use the pointy end to blend concealer around my undereyes.
