Benjamin's school next year has a very strict uniform policy including shoes. He normally wears sneakers (and the most hardy only last ~4 months). Given the following guidelines what are some good sturdy and affordable choices?
Shoes are to be solid in color and must be either tan, brown, navy blue, or black. Shoes can be lace-up, slip-on, or Velcro. Boys may wear shoes such as Dirty Bucs, Penny Loafers, Merrill-type moccasins, or Top-Siders.
Ari has sperrys that he fit him well and are comfortable. He has a brown leather pair and a blue canvass.
Do they last? B normally wears new balance / stride rite / skr. He's got a pair he started wearing in March, and they're already beginning to fray. He destroyed a pair from Target in about a week.

These are the ones he has - but my parents gt them for him in the UK so I don't see them on the American site. As I said, his schol is even stricter so they have to be completely black 'formal' shoes www.clarks.co.uk/c/Obie-Play-Jnr/p/26118947
SKR has a tan pair of boat shoes that would work. Kalvin has a pair and I love them. We've had Clarks in the past and really like those as well and they hold up beautifully.
