The weddings I've been in, the bride typically pays for all bridesmaids to get their makeup done. In that scenario I'd expect maybe $75/bridesmaid. If I was on my own, I'd expect to pay more. I got my makeup done for my brother's wedding at a fancy salon and I believe it was $150 + gratuity.

Bridesmaid makeup is usually around $75, brides $100-$150. I've also seen them break down their price and charge separately depending on what they're doing. For example, for one wedding the makeup artist charged x amount for the whole face but if you just wanted eyes done it was like $35 or something. It was kind of strange. I've not seen that done around here but I guess it's quite common in the Midwest? (The wedding was in OH).
So the wedding I did today was with a coworker who had priced the bridesmaids at 75 for full face. I had one who wanted just eyes and it was 45. So that looks like a pretty common price!
I would totally charge less than 150 for the bride though! I just feel so weird charging that much!
Last time I did a wedding on my own I charged 50 for the bridesmaids. The bride was having hers done by her hair dresser.
I would expect it to be $150+ for a bride. I know places here charge $300+. For a bridesmaid maybe $75-100?
These prices blow my mind. What the heck are they doing or putting on the bride that would be worth over 300 dollars!!!
They used an airbrush machine for my face makeup, which was definitely worth it as it was incredibly humid. I had one of makeup artists stay for 5 additional hours to do touch ups. We did first look photos, followed by the ceremony and then the reception. That was an additional cost but it was great having her there (again, it was insanely hot & humid!)!!

I've used an air brush machine before but didn't stay on site for touch ups. That makes sense if they stay there to charge that much. But I wouldn't charge that much for just the application.
I can't remember Bride always pays here for hair and makeup and I can't remember what we paid per girl
Mine was over $150 and awful I do better makeup but we aren't asking That I always cringe when they ask for makeup bc it's always not right and I've had it done over 25-30 times

That makes me sad I will always fix or tweak anything if they dont like something and ask them a whole bunch if they are happy with it. I can see how a lot of people probably just rush through it though and aren't as careful.
Yup I love eye makeup and hate a heavy lip It always tends to be the opposite
That's so weird! Maybe show a pic next time? If you ever do it again lol. Most of the work is in the eyes and complexion. Maybe you've just gotten lazy people who try to make it look more with a bold lip
I'm in a HCOL area and the local blowout bar charges $60 for full face make-up and $30 for just eyes. They have a separate menu for wedding make-up, but I haven't seen the prices. I imagine if you travel to the wedding party, as opposed to them coming to you, you can charge a lot more.
I got married a million years ago and I paid $300 for bridal hair and make-up including a trial for both.
