What's everyone up to today?

We're doing a mini home makeover this weekend. We moved all of our bedroom furniture around and reorganized our clothes storage yesterday.

Today, we're hanging new curtains in the bedroom and living room, replacing the entertainment hutch, and mounting our surround sound speakers.

I was going to take the girls to my mom's house but she isn't feeling well today and my brother won't make it to town after all. No biggie.

Tomorrow DH is off work. We got an old cozy coupe from his brother and I want to clean/paint it. I want to make it like a ladybug. Hoping to work on it tomorrow. I was going to clean it today during nap time but C decided she would only nap on me. Oh well.

We went shopping today and finally got some flowers for our window boxes. Flowers are expensive! H is going to put a few brackets under the window boxes then tomorrow I plan on planting the flowers. I'm just happy to finally do work outside!

Today has flown by. I haven't done anything exciting, just catching up on various things around the house.

I have been to a LLR open house, Target, a church volunteer event, the park twice, and took a two-hour nap with DS. The nap was amazing! Unfortunately it also means my house is still messy!

I woke up to a screw in my tire. Got it plugged.

H asked me to work with him today. I've done so much lifting of boxes that I can barely lift my arms. Currently our boss is taking us out for dinner. Yay! Free dinner!

So we ended up planting one of the window boxes! We have flowers! I also decided to take a bubble bath. I haven't done that in I have no idea how long! It was very relaxing Now to eat some ice cream and watch some TV!

Good day today, and tomorrow H comes home! I'll be up late make sure the house is spotless, laundry is finished, and baking his favorite foods (strawberry shortcake and lasagna). Want to make sure he really loves coming home

estrellita Window boxes are so pretty. I would love some, but I would kill everything and they would just be an eyesore

suzv Congrats on the house!

bk1 A ladybug will be cute. What kind of paint are you planning to use? I never have good success painting plastic.

suzv Sounds perfect! Can't wait to see pictures!

amaranth It's spray paint made for plastic. I did read to use 220 sandpaper to take off the top coat on the plastic before painting. We'll see if it works. I figure it's worth trying because this thing is very faded. It was my niece's... who will be 10 in a couple weeks.

amaranth We don't have the best track record with plants so we'll see how this goes, haha. Last year was tough though with my surgery and all the weddings so we have lots more time this year!

Trying to motivate myself to get off my butt and finish getting the guest room set-up for our friend who arrives friday.....as you can tell my motivation is lacking.
