Have any of y'all tried both of these. I finally tried the Cover FX drops from a play box and really liked the concept. However when I went into my sephora I noticed the tarte product looked similar but was much cheaper per volume. Unfortunately my sales associates were useless and offered no assistance. So would y'all recommend one over the other?
I don't know anything about Tarte but I love CoverFX. Price is more expensive per source because you use a teeny fraction of what you'd need for foundation. It's literally an eye dropper, and you just drop 1-3 drops of the pigment into primer or moisturizer to apply. You are comparing apples and oranges.
A bottle of CoverFX drops lasted me about 5 months. I use 1-2 drops each time.
Yes these aren't really comparable. The Tarte is a foundation while the CoverFX are pigment drops. I have the Rainforest one and it's a nice foundation but it's not super high coverage where it could be added to other products like the CoverFX. It's worth grabbing a sample to try out I'd say though.
I can't speak for the CoverFX drops, but I hated the Tarte foundation. The dropper was crappy and there was hardly any coverage at all. I was hoping it would be a good sub. for the MAC waterweight foundation I was previously using, but no dice.
Like others have said, they aren't comparable. The Tarte Rainforest of the Sea is just a water based foundation. I've used it and it's okay, but pretty light coverage.
The CoverFX drops didn't work for me, even though they seemed great at first. Not only did the rim of the bottle get super messy (forget traveling with it), all the liquid evaporated (I guess?) out of mine and I was left with a creamy product that wouldn't come up through the dropper. It didn't last very long for me. Same thing happened to a friend of mine.

Thanks all. This was exactly what I was needing to know. I will stick with fx drops because I really prefer tinted moisturizer but would like more coverage.
