The middle: he wants toast for breakfast No he doesn't Yes he does He doesn't want to wear shoes Yes he does He neeeeeeeeds Ironman pull-ups He wants marshmallows with his ice cream He wants to climb into his own car seat (this was after I put him in his seat and buckled him in because he tried to walk off into the parking lot ) He doesn't want a nap Fine, he'll take a nap, but only with my DH's gigantic pair of metal grill tongs (ETA: ummmm nope!)
The eldest: after discovering he has spent the day in superhero undies instead of Thomas undies, bursts into tears when I tell him I'm unfortunately not capable of turning back time so he can wear his Thomas undies on the Target trip we just returned from.
Blake was crying tonight after dinner because he wanted a snack - directly after dinner. For dinner, he ate a chicken quesadilla, corn on the cob, and 3 crazy breadsticks (my H brought them home after I cooked). No you don't need a snack directly after dinner.
Colton was crying earlier today because Blake was riding the power wheel - after Colton had already been riding it, gotten off, and was playing with his scooter. he was laying on the blacktop crying.

Mine are asleep now but earlier Henry was crying bc Annabelle stepped on him. Annabelle was crying bc she didn't step on him, he stepped on himself. Lol
She also cried bc DH was in the van and she wanted it to be just us.
Madison - because Daddy leaves tomorrow for work. Also when I accidentally knocked her head off a wall at bedtime. Oops. While we were on her bed, I was trying to look at her butt since it looks broken out so I pulled her legs up but didn't realize how close she was to the wall.
No crying today, but Abby complained because Caleb got to sit in my lap during story time, so when he was done, Abby had to get in my lap, too, while she read out loud to me for a minute.

A was crying because we wasn't the leader while riding bicycles. C was crying because he hit his sister, and somehow that's not fair to him. Also, chocolate milk is chocolate, not THESE shoes, not this bread, his bed is squishy, he's not in the middle, the park has trees, and the dog drools. Dear God, send relief.

No crying. Just adamant assertion that the wet, foul smelling carpet that was removed from our den will be returned immediately to its rightful place (& the total demise of our sinuses). The tears will come once the new flooring is installed.

Late post but this actually happened yesterday. Amelia was whining to get down while we waited in line at the dmv to get our waiting ticket number. I couldn't let her down bc she's a runner now. There's a line of about 15 people in front of us including a family from my sons school. She gets loud I give her my phone to play with that doesn't work. Mother man working the ticket window proceeds to yell in front of the whole dmv for us to leave. He's at least 30 feet away from us. I turn bright red am trying to calm down my child. I walk out after a nice lady offers to hold my spot for me. Get Amelia calm go back in a few mins later. The school family lets us cut in front of them I go to the picture window where the lady taking pictures apologized and said he was out of line and that she knows how hard it can be. I was o embarrassed I was teary and overwhelmed. So I imagine my dl renewal pic will be awful.
I admit my kid was being loud however I didn't need to be humiliated in public in a room of 100 people. He could of asked another employee to come speak to me directly and I would of been much more calm. I'm still debating filing a formal complaint.
Currently, during bedtime after calling for me to rock her, because she wants to call me zero times. I don't think her little 2 year old mind fully understands zero haha
sunflowers7 I would file a complaint, that guy was out of line. I'm glad some of the other people pitched in to help you. The DMV with a toddler is a special kind of awful to begin with.
sunflowers7, that guy is a tool. I'm glad so many other people were nice to you-- anyone who has ever been around toddlers for any length of time has been in your situation.
