muppetinma , can I be your kid for a day and go too?
Sure, but it's not very exciting. It takes forever, and you sit around in the dark and have to be quiet. Andrew will mostly be sitting on a couch with his iPad. There are lots of snacks, though, so that's nice.

Did the host of this game show send out a nasty letter to all the staff this week? Saying essentially, don't speak to unless spoken to, I have many very important things to do?
The morning radio show I was listening to talked about it, apparently the letter was leaked.
Oh wait, I think that one is filmed in Chicago. NM
Ugh. A locked our bathroom door and shut it so we are locked out. No one is in any danger but the bathroom is out of commission until I take the doorknob off. I'm so irritated-- he's old enough to know better! I have no idea why he thought this was a good idea.
I might be too late but do you have doors with a lock that one side is a small hole? If so you can use a lollipop stick or bobby pin to pop the lock open

this happens several times a week in our house
It does, but the lock is a twist one. You are supposed to be able to use a super small screwdriver, but it hasn't worked in the past ( yep, this is the second time. Same kind of door knob. Different door though).

Yes*. I've read it and it's not really that bad. He's just saying that if you want to talk to him, make an appointment. He's tired of somebody waiting around every corner and bothering him. He could have worded it a little better, but I get where he's coming from.
now that I haven't had a breath of fresh air in 7 hours I feel more normal! Which is good because we are going to the bar after work for another persons going away party.
I think it's best I take a walk in the woods and breathe in as much pollen as I can right before my doctors appointment so I'm in as bad a condition as possible when being examined
How long after professional pictures do you expect a sneak peek? I am so impatient and i would probably never say anything but it's been almost 2 weeks... usually she gives us a sneak peek in 48-72 hours at the most.
2 weeks until closing! Our paperwork is set and the mortgage company gave us the final amount. It's coming in almost $7000 less than what they initially estimated! Woo-hoo!
Now we just have to hope DH doesn't get laid off in the next 2 weeks.
Sitting at the pool drinking a margarita while my husband does handstands. I think he's had too much to drink lol
We set up a camera in A's room before we left so we could talk to her during her quiet time so we did that earlier, it was nice to near her sweet voice. I love vacationn, but I do miss my kids.

I'm just impatient.
My photog usually does 24-48hrs one pic on fb as a sneak peek. By 2 weeks, she's usually done.
So I just got home from our IEP meeting. I feel sooo much better about things. I truly believe we have the best team in the area working w him when he goes to K. The PT has some ideas to help with his repetitive behaviors which gives me great relief as I think it's becoming more frequent. He's getting a one on one aide and will also be seeing the intervention specialist as well as pull out for PT, OT, and speech. They are also really pushing his social skills because he doesn't initiate conversations w kids. I think a lot of it goes back to when he was completely nonverbal and couldn't talk to kids, so he needs a lot of confidence.
They all told me they love him and have a soft spot for him, and can't wait to have him there every day (they've been doing a lot of testing and observing of him lately and a couple know him already). Anyway, I feel better about next year.
That is so frustrating imimahoney! We were in that boat last year, but by the time we got to see the ENT, he didn't have an infection and it was may, so they wanted to see how he did.
Seriously though I'm like wtf about this guy I work with. I thought he would be my manager at some point but he seems like now he won't be but anyway he may be my senior but every time we have a work drinking thing and he is there it is weird
Tonight I was at the train station and he said "you should get the later train .. !!" Then he said if we weren't both married things would be very different now. Wut. Seems so inappropriate and weird. He also is a parent which i feel makes it worse
TrudyCampbell - I'm sorry she's not doing better. Was she at least taking the meds?
Sooo we are pretty sure it's the antibiotics making her sick. Pedi said to stop immediately and she's going to see if she thinks she needs more. Ugh, this has been a mess. But I'm glad I don't have to force them into her again and make her puke.

Nitrofurantoin can be hard on the stomach. Were you giving it with food?

So, yes, we tried. Today she woke up and didn't have an appetite, barely ate all day. Then the second dose of the antibiotic made her vomit (on the subway........kill me now). Then she seemed totally fine, had a great dinner, everything was great. Gave the med again and 10-15 min later vomited again. The second time she had a full stomach but the other two doses today she didn't.
