I had such a bad day. Hilariously bad.

So tell me something good.

Anyone have anything good going on in their lives? We collectively complain too much

Well, here's something amusing.

Today, my teaching partner wasn't here, so the kids were in my room all day. Part of their math was volume, but they seemed to be having a little trouble with it, so I grabbed some empty baskets and stacked them to model how to find the volume. I accidentally bumped them just a bit and all 16 baskets went flying--followed by 5 kids getting down to help pick them up. It was rather loud, and the door was open.

I looked up to see the principal in the doorway. "We're doing volume and they fell over" I told him.

It turns out, he'd been across the hall. With the state rep who was in the building today. Oops.

Other good: I mentioned this in another thread, but our closing costs are going to be $7000 less than what had initially been estimated.

We get our one month preschool deposit back by way of free preschool in June! We also won the free school registration for both girls so we don't have to pay that bill which was due in June. All is good timing while the dahli papa is between jobs. He got another call for an interview today, it's just such a slow process.

We are staying in Ogunquit, Maine. We hope to walk the beach, shop, eat and sleep. Maybe I'll even read a book. I haven't read a book for myself since Olivia was born! That's a really sad fact! Her husband has never had the kids alone for more than part of a day so we will do a short and close trip this year but hope to do longer and further in the future!

I went to the spa today and am sitting on the beach and the sun just set. Also got to talk to A today, I love her voice on the phone, it's so sweet sounding.

I went to see Ryan Adams last night. We were 12 rows from stage. I LOVE him. My first Ryan show was 17 years ago and I've seen him 20+ times since.

We were introduced at our wedding to one of his songs, and saw him the day after our wedding. I held up a sign telling him that. He played that song. He played it again last night. I'm still feeling the high of the show. 

H booked dinner tomorrow night and brunch Sunday at 2 amazing places.

I'm home with C again tomorrow (fuck you ear infection) and while I feel bad that she is so sick I'm really happy that I don't have to work tomorrow. It has been killing me lately.

Jane's going on a field trip to a carnival tomorrow and we're going to tag along. It will be fun and the weather's perfect. And so nice because of the extra help. I'm so glad her teachers and aides are amazing!
