Have any of you actually seen pitting edema? Lol. Hint: it doesn't look like that.
That's just an indentation from having something tight against your skin for a period of time. Normal!
i just googled!
That's some crazy shit.
My dad had it when he was sick and it was insane. Like, you pressed a finger into his leg and it just stayed pitted for awhile. I'd never seen anything like it before.
TBH I don't think this thread even holds a candle to the "Should I watch TV or take a nap" thread, complete with a poll, in which 90+ members of this community have participated.

Oh no way. This is way worse. At least the poll had a TIC title. This shit up here was earnest and heartfelt. It even had pictures and google research!
My skin is so sensitive I'm literally allergic to exercise. Like break out in hives, yes, I'm using literally correctly.
Since I was a young kid I'd scratch designs on my skin. I'm not even that pale. But within 10 seconds a scratch turns bright red.
So, yeah, that wouldn't phase me. It's also not even pitting edema since generally that requires no discernible cause like a tight hair band.
I struggled with a bout of those a few years ago. I called them friction hives because they would show up whenever I was warm and moving; wherever my skin rubbed against itself (between my fingers and toes) or where my clothing rubbed. Super annoying.
