Switching Branches

Anyone have experience switching branches? H wants to go from Army to Navy, we plan on talking to a recruiter since he has a lot of questions. Any insight or advice welcome!

He's enlisted and it would depend on MOS availablity, he's looking for a change since he's working on getting the Airframe and Powerplant certs. He hates the current leadership and has been dealing with it for 3 years; we hopefully PCS next year so I'm hoping a change in leadership will help.

So far he's wanting to switch since the recruiter said he could go reserve to go to school getting BAH, E5 pay, and they'd pay for us to go back home then switch back to active.

Currently all DD368s are being denied for my command. If not go reserve at all if his desire is to be active. But I'm extremely bitter right now.

Thanks for that, we're changing our plan so he can stay active.

I'm sorry you're being denied, that's really shitty :/
