Intro thread

Hi all, I'm an accountant. DH and I have a 4yo DS and 1yo DD. Both kids are in full time daycare and we live in the great state of Texas!

Hi! I am not from TCF (although I posted there once or twice) but noticed this board popped up here. I started on TK back in 2006 then TN and TB before the mass exodus and have been here at GBCN since. I have 16 and 4 year old daughters. I work in accounting for local government and H works in the the construction industry. He recently got a job with a union which has made life in the financial department easier but home life is suffering a bit since he does not work close to home. We're trying to figure out our next step with that once he is off probation at work. Oh, I'm in SoCal.

ETA:  I have changed my SN a few times since TK.

I'm here from TCF too. Same SN. I'm an investment adviser for institutional funds, and DH also works in investments, on the asset management side.

I'm on maternity leave now after having my third baby (a boy) a week ago. I also have a daughter who will be 5 in August and a son who will be 3.5 soon. They go to full time preschool and DD will start summer camps next week (she has pre-k 'graduation' tomorrow). I grew up in the DC area and we've lived in the San Diego area now for 9 years.

I came here from TCF after starting on the bump. I have a 2.5 year old and 8 months old, both October babies. We live in the Chicago area in a 100 year old house that's always breaking.

DH and I are both engineers turned product managers. DH works in tech. I got laid off right after returning from my second maternity leave and am actively looking for a new job.

Same name on TCF. Three kids - 13, 9, 5. Two months and no more private school for DS and he enters public Kinder. I'm a project manager and DH is a consultant who is gone every week.

I had the same name on TCF.
I have 3 kids - DD is 7, DS1 is 2, and DS2 is 3 months. I'm a test engineer and DH is a stay-at-home dad now.

Hi! Also a TCF refugee. Two kids, DD who turns 5 in a few weeks and DS who is 3. I'm at a big company, where I run an environmental compliance team and am an environmental attorney. DH worked as a project manager at a DoD agency until he quit at the end of 2016 to stay at home for the next couple of years.

Hi, I'm also here from TCF. I have two girls - 7 and 5. I am an instructional designer/technical writer for a large tech company. DH works for the Forest Service as a Wildland Fire Engine Captain. He is gone a lot in the summer so I am often on my own with the girls.

HI! I introed on TCF a few weeks ago and am trying to become more active. I have two girls- 2.5 and 11 months. We still say we want three kids, but I am not ready to go there yet! I am an agricultural economist and my husband is a civil engineer. We live on a farm in Northern California.
