We have one daughter who is 15 months old. We're in Canada and so I've been back at work for about 3.5 months. I work full time teaching grades 4 and 5 (and coaching/organizing track and field, and Sports Day, and revamping our Science, Math, book, and Art rooms, and, and, and...)
My husband is in outside sales selling industrial supplies. We have a nanny that we share with a family who have a son the same age as our daughter.

Hi!! I'm here from TCF (obviously or maybe not obviously). I have a 3 and 5 year old. I work in house as an attorney and my husband works for the court system. Our kids are in full time daycare of the Montessori variety.

Hey! Same sn on here and TCF. I'm an RN working as a program manager for a clinical trials research company. I have a 2.5 year old and a 7 month old. Both of my girls are in Daycare full time.
I'm Fred, and I date back to the Knot days circa 2006, then BOTB; now WP, Adoption, and Special Needs mostly. I have a degree in engineering and work in the automotive industry mostly doing analysis and reporting, married to a tv news producer. We adopted our almost 8 year old daughter Charlotte after being her foster parents; she was about our 4th placement.

divanerd, this is a brand new board created yesterday, as a request for those of us jumping ship from TCF. But those of us from TCF are a friendly bunch that want new posters.

Hi! I'm sandandsea and was around tk starting in 2001, tn, tb, and then Tcf. I am a cpa and dh is an engineer. Our boys are 5 and almost 1. We are in CA.
Hey! I intro'd back on WP on TCF back when I was pregnant. My baby girl is now 8 weeks old. I'm a teacher, and since the school year ends this week, I took off the entire rest of the year and will be off this summer too. In the fall I'll be teaching all three middle grades in my building as well as three new to me classes, so life is going to be hectic as I adjust to being a working mom and new classes.

Hi! I was in my way to intro'ing on TCF. I have an 11 week old DD and am an engineer. I go back to work full time the Tuesday after Memorial Day. DD will be at a day care center that goes through pre-k. We are in MN.

Judy here. Financial analyst managing an IT budget. Two daughters - almost 3yo and 4 months. Back at work for about a month now following maternity leave. Came over here from TAG TCF (stupid autocorrect).

I wasn't on tcf, but I might post here some if that's ok. I have an almost 5 year old, and identical twin girls on the way. I'm a vocational rehabilitation counselor and my husband is a paramedic and firefighter, so he works more often than not.
Came from TCF. I have a two and half year old caught. I'm a former teacher who became an Administrative Assistant in the private sector a year ago. About 9 weeks ago I was promoted the HR/Payroll administrator for our district.
DH is a high school teacher. We sold our house two weeks ago and are building a new house while living at my parents second home in my state.

Came from tcf, same name. I have a 3yo DS and a 9 week old DD. I sell property and casualty insurance, mostly crop, and own my own agency with my brother. Our dad died 7 years ago when I was 20 and we have been running it ever since. Some days it feels like its running me . DH is a firefighter/paramedic.

I'm freezorburn, same SN going back to TCF and TB. Spend most of my time in Cloth Diapering, Special Needs and Single Parents boards. My 5yo son is on the spectrum. Currently working 2 days a week as a florist, and anticipating going back to work full time over the next two years. My degree is in landscape architecture but I'm thinking about retraining in something else (what, I do not know) because my circumstances have changed since I got my degree, and I worry that if I go back to landscape I won't have much in the way of disposable income.
Came from TCF. I'm an Aerospace Engineer and DH is a machinist, Levi (DS) will be 3 on Saturday, He has Upshaw-Schulman Syndrome a rare genetic blood disorder so we are in and out of doctors and hospitals frequently. We live in NH.
Hi everyone! I just intro'd on WP on TCF like 2 weeks ago and followed them here. There are a lot of great topics here; I hope to be active and get to know a lot of great new people.
I'm dashook (same sn on TCF, and I was ACH831 on TB). My husband and I are both lawyers in the Boston area; he is strictly transactional and I do litigation (mostly insurance defense). We have a 2 year old DS (Jan.'15) and 6 month old DD (Nov.'16). We have a nanny for the kids but even with that extra flexibility it is still a real struggle to balance our work schedules. Looking forward to chatting with all of you!
Hi all. I really wish we had some consensus of where we're going to live for the long-term. I feel like it's hard to jump in full speed when I'm not sure about anything anymore.
Anyways, for those who need a refresher or intro, here we go. I'm a CA native working in finance, married to a management consultant with two kids - DD who is 4 and DS who is newly 1.
Hi, I am coming from TCF. I am in both worlds right now.
Refresher on me: I am a engineer by degree and working in logistics now. DH is a financial analyst. We have a 2.5 year old together and he has two boys from a previous marriage. They are 14 and 12. We live in AL
TCF = Then Comes Family, which is a forum that started up after a big exodus from The Bump a couple of years ago. There has been some recent drama among admins and mods, so people are looking for safe places to land

Hi, can I join you guys? I've been around the boards in various ways since 2002. I came here during the original Nest implosion, then went back to the bump when I got pregnant with DD. We had moved our BMB (may 13) elsewhere before the bump imploded. I did post briefly on TCF, but not enough to be a regular.
We both work full-time, from home since we moved across the country 2 years ago. C is an engineer, I'm a health data analyst/application developer. We have an 8yo son and our daughter will be 4 on Saturday. Older is in school, obviously, younger goes to daycare and preschool.
ETA: I was jerseygirl81 on the old boards, I don't remember what I was on TCF.

Yes, welcome!
For the moment, the WP community seems to be still posting mostly over at TCF, so it may be a slow start-up here. Maybe we'll set up a weekly GTKY thread to get things going here.SaveSave
