Today: bagels, grocery shopping, laundry, calling HOA and city to start the window process (we get them in 6 weeks or so...went with the expensive ones). Need to make food for L. My step mom is stopping by and bringing leftovers from a favorite spaghetti place we went to growing up...yay for good food and not having to cook dinner!!
Thursday: Disneyland with HS BFF, her mom, and kiddos Friday thru Mon: staying at my dads house to house sit their dog. It's much closer to the beach and things we like to do much harder since it's 20-30 min away. Will be a nice change of scenery!
Need to pack, do chores, and hopefully go on some walks. Possibly a few workouts too!

A crazy week here! Last week of work before vacation. Today: Softball doubleheader, late games Tuesday: L's swim lessons Wednesday: Pedicure Thursday: hair cut Friday: Last minute packing and organizing. Dropping the dogs off at the IL's Saturday: Vacation!!
No real plans today. Work Tuesday. Audiologist appointment Wednesday to reprogram my hearing aid, and hopefully reduce air conditioner noise. No plans at all Thursday. Work Friday. Going for a weekend away with DH for our anniversary! It will be the first time I've been away from E overnight, and I'm leaving him for 2 nights. I might cry.
Wedding week for my sister, out of town, so it will likely be busy and stressful. And expensive. Wedding costs are insane.
I guess I shouldn't have liked this post since it actually doesn't seem very likeworthy -- but yay for weddings and family time? Ha.
Haha, it's all good! Overall it will be nice. This sister is just in BEC territory for me so I'm bitter but seeing my cousins, grandma, watching S be flower girl, and also celebrating my mom's 50th birthday will all be a blast! I should be more positive. Lol

Not much going on here, hopefully some yard work this weekend since it was cold and rainy this past weekend! We have a 3 day weekend so hopefully something will get done.

Since we have a 3 day weekend, I MIGHT see about taking the side off E's crib. H put him in the crib with sleep sack on backwards (so he can't reach the zipper) so he could take a poopy diaper out. I was at work. H shut the hallway door and I think E's door. He walked back in to find E in the kitchen with the sleep sack half off. Lol. So yeah, he's definitely climbing out. We put a door knob thing inside his room so hopefully that will keep him in there (plus on all the other doors he could get at). Anyways, because of that, it might be time! We'll also have his new mattress this week so we could use that on the floor too. Decisions decisions.

We took the side of E's crib off night before last and he's done very well. We also have the knob covers on his doors so he can't get out.

Good to know! I really hope it's a non issue. He loved the mattress when we went to the store so hopefully he feels the same at home lol

melsamoony I'm thinking of doing that but we're not moving the crib (kids will be sharing a room) so I'm not sure how to go about that, haha. I don't want him to think the baby is "stealing" his bed but also don't want to move it out just to move it back in and have him be mad about sharing his room, lol. Maybe taking the side off the crib for a bit would be good, then move him to the twin bed in a couple months or so?
Today: 2 Month shots Tomorrow: work meeting if I make it in the am, 9 pm going to the movies with moms from my mom's group. Gonna finally see beauty and the beast. Wednesday: going downtown for a baby carrier research study. Thursday: watching my students graduate! Friday: heading out of town with a three hour car ride after H gets home from work.

Hung around the house with C today. Didn't get much done since she decided not to nap today, but we did have a good day together.
Tomorrow house cleaners come. It's supposed to be nice out, so will probably take C and the dog for a walk then play outside.
Wednesday I'm running errands and getting stuff done around the house while my ILs babysit. It's also our 9th anniversary, but my H has jury duty so we don't have any plans.
Thurs and Fri work.
Saturday morning play date.
Sunday we're going to my ILs for a Memorial Day party.
MIL is here. Other than the teething comment...we've been cordial. She gets L during the day while she's here. She gave me my space to hang with L when I got home from work. I'm trying to be on my best behavior. DH told me last night at bedtime that he's here if I need to talk about it...since having your MIL come stay is stressful. At this point, we're managing....so nothing to discuss. Had MIL not given her a LATE nap yesterday (WTH?) and DD had gone to bed at her normal time, my plan was to leave MIL and DH alone to catch up while I folded laundry in the bedroom and worked on special projects. That will be my plan tonight if she doesn't put her down for a nap too late. I'm trying to focus on positive things and not on her. I know it stresses DH out that she wants to talk with DH about the fact that FIL has written us off...vows to NEVER come visit us or his grandkids (no complaints from me...his loss...so, I feel sad that for HIM that he's such an idiot)....so trying to keep the peace with MIL is the least I can do for DH.
I have sinus crud going on....probably from all this rain and humidity. ugh.

estrellita you could start with the bed on the floor and then move him to the crib with the side off.
When you move him to the twin bed have him help pick out the bedding/choose something you know he likes. That helped DS get excited. We just moved him to a new room because we couldnt get the toddler bed kot for his crib and I was sick of stepping all ove his mattress. I didnt want to take the crib apart because eventually another baby will use it.
