Maybe I'm way off base here, but spoons and things that wash your husband's ass maybe shouldn't go in the same machine? Perhaps the clothes washing machine would work just as good?
So food debris doesn't get stuck in the mesh? That would be my chief concern.
Conversely, ass debris in my dishwasher is my main concern. I'm pretty sure I'd disown someone for this level of foolishness.
Do y'all cook fish in there too? Asking for a friend.
Lol. But if there's visible ass debris on your bath pouf, you have bigger problems than I can help you with.
I personally think a dishwasher with a sanitize cycle is a reasonable place to wash it, if you so desire. I just wouldn't do it if there are heavily soiled dishes in there.

I don't wash them with dishes, I wash them when I do outdoor toys, DD's native knock-offs, things like that. I dunno, seems like things get cleaner than in the washing machine?
Guess I'll switch to the washing machine, I really hadn't thought about it.SaveSave

Stop! There is nothing reasonable about this. You don't put stuff on your ass and penis or vagina and then put it in the dishwasher. No. Fuck no. Try the washing machine. Try throwing it away and buying another. They cost $1 at target.
Did you get hacked? Lol
Sorry, I disagree!
If it's a sanitizing cycle, you're probably good. Trust me. I research infectious disease transmission for a living. I don't gross out easily.

Can't you wash sex toys in the dishwasher? I don't know I don't have any.

I believe you. I'm sure it's perfectly safe, it's just ewww, yuck.
If I had to pick 3 ways to clean a loofah, the dishwasher would not pop into my mind.
Does the sanitize cycle melt pubic hairs or do those stay in there right next to the coffee mug. Yuck!
I'm a washcloth person, but I'm not opposed to the dishwasher idea in principle. Hot soapy water is hot soapy water, but the lack of agitation gives me pause. I've now put more thought into this than I ever thought possible.
If i were doing this, I would do so when I had an empty dishwasher. I have only used ours for our dishes and glasses.
At the preschool, we run a ton of the toys through the dishwasher at the end of the year cleaning. It is in industrial dishwasher, so it is a short, super hot cycle to sanitize everything.
