Off shortly to one last drunken brunch before the kids are all out of school. One of my girlfriends texted me last night and asked if she could bring her kid, who is four. I didn't want to be the jerk who said no, but the whole idea of this brunch is that it's the last time we'll be kid-free until the fall! I responded with "I guess it's okay," hoping that she'd read into it. I don't think she did. Ugh.
Oh, and I am SO happy that Amazon does e-giftcards. This morning, Andrew was bouncing around the house. I asked him why he was so excited, and he said that he was looking forward to seeing Ms. Elizabeth, who has been his case worker/therapist since he turned three. He normally sees her on Thursdays, but I totally forgot they rescheduled it for today. She sees him at school, so I never really remember the schedule.
Shit. This is the LAST time he'll ever see her, since he'll have a new caseworker once he starts kindergarten. And I had NO gift for her. No card. Nothing. Well, it's not personal, but I just sent her an amazon gift card with his picture on it. Better than nothing!
I went out early to work in the garden. I found a huge snake skin (like 4 ft long!) and two mole feet. 😐😨 Thank goodness it started raining so I can be finished with gardening for today!
I've got to go get new my new driver's license and pay the registration and taxes on our truck. Our tax/reg bill for KY is $175 more than it was in IN. It's ridiculous!!
Going home today! Enjoying quiet time before going home and having 3 kids in the house! DH went run to his school to turn in his grades before report card day, so it's just me and my baby boy! Here is a pic of all the kids last night and one from this morning!
gah I hate Texas property taxes. Found another house I like, but it has a 2.75% tax rate! That's $14K a year in TAXES ALONE for this place. It's totally outfitted with expensive sustainable upgrades though so it might even out compared to taxes in surrounding areas. Might go see it this weekend.

The kids have been crazy lately. The lousy weather has not been helping. I is so close to walking. It will make playing outside a whole lot easier when he does, but I have a feeling he's going to be a runner.
A had her graduation today. My husband was able to get out of a meeting early and make it. Good thing because they asked all the kids what they wanted to be when they grew up and A said "a mermaid and an astronaut with my dad". (heart)
