A friend/coworker of mine (E) messaged me on Tuesday morning asking if we could meet up for a walk or coffee today. So I met E at 8:30 and we did an hr walk. She asked me to meet because (@ & miscarriage related) she worked with another coworker who we are both close to on Monday night and that friend excitedly told E she is 6 weeks pregnant. (She told E 5 mins into a 12 hr shift!) This friend knows that E has had 2 losses, the most recent being only 2 months ago. E has been trying to get/stay pregnant for almost 2 years now, and in that time this friend has gotten pregnant and had one son and she is now on her second pregnancy. Some people just don't get it. 😞
I feel so sorry for E, but I am happy that she is able to call me up and confide in me and that I can be there for her.
On the plus side I hit my step goal at 10:30 this morning.

awick14 - I'm glad that E felt she could turn to you. That must have been a huge comfort to her.
I'm on migraine day 3. Or is it 4? I can't even remember at this point. It will go for hours on end, give me a reprieve for a while and I'll think it's dissipating, and then it will be back when my eyes open. I just called to schedule a massage for this afternoon.
wanderingenough- she left our walk for a counseling appointment so this morning will be an emotional one for her. I'm so glad that as crappy as losses are that it's brought us closer together. You really figure out true friends in bad situations.
I hope you get some relief from this migraine. Have you tried the piercing I think MrsMB got for her migraines? I've thought of getting it to help with my migraines but I haven't gotten more then 1-2 since last year after getting pregnant so hopefully that is my "cure" for them.

awick14 - I haven't. I talked to my neurologist about it and have done a lot of research. From what I've read, it's very much linked to getting someone who truly knows about acupressure/pressure point therapy for it to actually work. I've been getting botox and take a daily preventative and have them considerably more managed than I did a few years ago. We just had several days of terrible weather here, so I think that caused them.

Some people really are clueless, awick14. I had a relative crying a river about an "unplanned" pregnancy they didn't even prevent, TO an aunt who experienced 10 years of infertility followed by several still births/losses, and fertility again until full menopause. I couldn't believe anyone in the world could be so awful, but there she was just oblivious. I don't know how the aunt was so gracious.
wanderingenough is it the weather? I had another full day migraine yesterday and I started drinking coke at 10am today in hopes of keeping a 3rd away. I'm teetering on the edge, but I have no idea the cause. All I can think is weather because it's been oddly rainy and cold out of no where.
DH is interviewing for jobs. After he didn't hear back from one earlier this week, I realized that I once again had given up on out apartment and was waiting to start over in a new place. So now I'm trying to get back into making this place more functional for us. TW: baby/surgery The 4 month old of someone I grew up with had a transplant last night. It's amazing (but also tragic for others) that she got a heart so quickly.
I still have the piercing. I've had less frequent/severe migraines I believe. This past week we've had terrible weather + allergies + I've been really sick so I got a couple bad headaches. I used to get headaches like that regularly though and I definitely don't miss them!

awick14- wow, some people really are clueless. I am glad you can be there for your friend. I bet she also has some hope seeing you on the other side of your journey.
We went to Disneyland again today and had a blast! Poor L only slept 15 min on the way there and 30 min on the way home (between the walk to the car and drive home) but he's napping now. C had a great time seeing Mickey again and meeting Minnie! We went on a couple rides and met up with my best friend from HS and her family! Fun day but I am exhausted! I need to start packing for our weekend at my parents house once the boys are in bed.

I had a surprise today and my old partner rode a shift today to see if she wants to come back. I hope she does! I miss her!
H is making me go to work with him tomorrow. Granted I get paid too but I wanted to sleep in and get some stuff done around the house. Unfortunately as I have said before, going to work with him is the only way I get to see him now
