We closed on the house this afternoon. I was surprised at how fast the closing went. I'd been told it can take an hour or two, but we were done in 30 minutes--and that's even with waiting 10-15 minutes for the mortgage company to send the funds.
So exciting! I know you guys have moved a ton so you've got this part down but I still hope the process goes quickly and painlessly!
What are you guys tackling first? Any projects before you moved in?
1. Painting a dark green room. It's going to be the office, and right now it's poker table green with black trim. After we move, I want to get more flowers planted, saw off some spindles in the half wall that separates the living room from the foyer, and someday replace the butt-ugly counter in the kids' bathroom.
Don't think you have to tackle everything at once, but take before and after pictures when you do. That's the one thing I wish I had done with my old house.
