I'm finally trying to find the motivation to get back into it. My workouts and diet have been awful for the last couple of weeks, and it's time to get back on track.
Meal Plans: Getting back to cutting out sugar. I went grocery shopping yesterday to stock the house with healthy snacks, and cleaned out the crap that found its way into our pantry in the past few weeks.
Goals: Follow through with at least four of my workouts, don't give in to sugar cravings.
1) Drink a shit load of water everyday. It's so much easier at work. When I'm at home it's a battle.
2) Go walking 4 days (long or short)
3) Do push ups and squats 5x
I just bought a pedometer today. It was regular 50 dollars and I got it for 10 on Amazon. Score!
I've been eating pretty well, minus the few times we grab take out because I don't want to cook. But we have to behave these next 2 weeks since we are going on vacation and I don't want to have a ton of food sitting in the house!

I'm starting today as a fresh start. When I was out of breath walking up a hill that I normally have no issue with, it kinda slapped me in the face how much I let myself go. I also realized I pretty much have no self confidence or self worth anymore and that kinda scared me.
I can't really afford to go to crossfit again right now so I am picking out a bunch of fitnessblender.com videos to do this week. I also want to get back into running again.
As for meal planning, it's been kinda rough. I don't want to cook for 1 since H is barely home during the week and I hate cooking for myself. I'm making a quinoa salad for lunches this week and dinners I have a few frozen meals I got from Trader Joe's. Snacks, I have hummus and carrots and trail mixes. I'm planning on protein shakes for breakfast.
My goals this week: - work out 5 days - stick to a healthier meal plan - drink a lot more water - no soda at all -try to be more positive about myself

I've been a disaster with eating lately. DH & I are going to do low-carb for the next 2 weeks leading up to our trip to Chicago, because we always eat a lot when we're there and I don't want to feel gross going into it. This should help me feel a little better and lose a few pounds (which I am sure I will promptly gain back - but it will be worth it!)
I'm doing ok with my steps, still need to figure out how to incorporate a workout plan into my day.

Things went really well with healthy eating last week! Big thanks to travelbug for her coffee tips! I'm still tinkering to find exactly what I like, but I only hit Starbucks once last week, once on Saturday, and once so far this week. Each time it was a much healthier choice than my norm! As for the diet, I stuck to no dairy, no alcohol, no sweets, and aimed for fresh whole foods.
I let myself have the day off Monday when we had a BBQ with fam, but snapped right back on the train on Tuesday.
ewall - Just curious. They don't make you do a physical for your work health insurance?
katespade- you are burning calories so it's definitely better than nothing (and benefits all aspects of health)!!
Eating has gone much better so far this week. I have also been averaging 15k steps every day but no real workouts. My dad and I are going to try to take the boys running after naps today so hopefully that happens and maybe I can do my circuit workout tomorrow during nap time and maybe another run on Sunday. My biggest issue right now is sleep is horrible and I am exhausted...plus I get almost no free time these days.
